02/06/2026: €166 for two
The premise is that they booked us last minute despite it being a holiday. We ate well and a lot, and the service was welcoming and very kind.
But the final bill left a bitter taste in our mouths.
Perhaps it was the friendliness of the dining room staff that led us into the trap.
For our appetizer, we had the stuffed crescentina, very good and perfectly fried. We were advised to order a large one to share between two: on the menu, it cost €12, and the price of the large one wasn't listed: we discovered it was €20.
For the first course, there was an off-menu dish with no explicit price, so we chose that: green pappardelle with mushrooms and ragù. The only difference from the menu was the type of pasta: instead of the tagliatelle, which on the menu cost €17, the pappardelle on the receipt were listed as €20 each.
For our second course, we ordered two tagliata, one with mushrooms (€26) and one with black truffle (€30). The waiter offered us potatoes with truffle as if they were a side dish (naively, with these prices, that's what we thought), and we agreed.
Having visited many restaurants, €26 for a tagliata with mushrooms without a side dish is a lot, but perhaps that's subjective.
The meat was good and tender, and the potatoes were boiled, not baked; they're the only thing I didn't appreciate. On the bill, the tagliata with truffle, including potatoes, whose price we didn't know, cost €35.
A dessert was €6, a cover charge of €2.50, water €2.50, coffee €2, and wine €28.
Finally, they offered us a liqueur, and since we were among the last to arrive, they let us taste two wines from their cellar, a gesture that was certainly appreciated.
Going to a trattoria and not a gourmet restaurant, even though we ate a lot, we certainly didn't expect to spend €83 per person.
The ingredients are certainly high-quality, and you feel welcome, but with these prices, I don't think I'll be back, unless they (rightly) ask the price of everything they offer.
19/05/2026: A casual restaurant with friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent food. We had homemade pappardelle with morels (very fresh), porcini mushrooms, and ragù: excellent! The final highlight: a mix of tarts served with a truly exquisite mascarpone. We also enjoyed a delicious local Barbera. The overall price was fair (€87.50 for two). Highly recommended!
