It is busy, great variety of food, many tourists. Do not recommend pasta place.

Pretty sizeable market selling a variety of foods, and a decent food court on the top floor. Wanted to visit again but it closes quite early so we didn’t make it. Perfect for buying food souvenirs home for tourists as they sold lots of packaged snacks/pasta.

I had high expectations and found an accommodation near the market, but I was very disappointed. Vegetables and fruits are cheaper at Conad Market and seem to be sold more expensively to tourists. The vegetable and fruit market closes at 3 o'clock. The food court on the 2nd floor is open until 12 o'clock and has a variety of menus, but it was so hot inside that I didn't want to sweat and eat.
Writing this after my trip to Italy, but Mercato Centrale was definitely my favorite part of Florence! So many affordable yummy eats on the first floor and a whole marketplace on the ground floor. Swordfish was 16 euro, caffe was around 1 euro, and cornetto was 1,20 euro. I would definitely recommend!

Large market hall with many products. On the upper floor there is a kind of food court with many different warm dishes. And if you like a home-style German experience abroad; There was even roast beef/beef etc. with cabbage) ; it even tasted good). The rest of the family was also happy with the food. In my opinion, going to the toilet is too expensive at €1.50. Conclusion: Definitely worth a visit.

A great place if you are tourist, there are many options for breakfast, lunch, whatever you want. We had breakfast on the ground floor, where there were more traditional places, and honestly all the places are recommended. Obviously you also have the typical market stalls, selling vegetables, meats, fish, charcuterie, spices... Even flowers.
On the upper floor you have the most modern version of a market, with more gourmet food stalls. Places for fast food, pizzas, pasta, pastries, beers, wines, pickles... Nothing is missing. Here the prices are a little higher, but the experience is worth it, and if not you can always walk around to see it, because it is very beautiful.

I really liked the catering part. Unfortunately, as we don't have air conditioning, we suffer a bit from the heat. Beautiful screens to enjoy the Olympics. Advised.

The restaurants on the upper floor of the Florence mercato are highly recommended! The pasta, pizza and panini were simply outstanding. The dishes were freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a great address for lovers of Italian cuisine.

Discovered by chance with an entrance a little hidden from the stalls, this place has many internal kiosks each with a different gastronomic speciality: ranging from BBQ meat to mixed fried food chosen and fried on the spot, from Asian tortellini and sushi to Italian ice cream.. .. in short, a vast choice. You can sit at tables and all be cheered up by music. A young, informal atmosphere, you can breathe the air of an open and young city.
