Baldovino In Firenze

Nice place and delicious food, drinks follow the prices of most restaurants, detail the jug of water was free.

I just left the marvelous Baldovino Bistrot, and it was a fantastic experience for me and my friends. Scenario: restaurant closed except to a couple of tour groups (I think they get a lot of this business), but my friend - who I haven't seen in 4 years called me and said, "I'M IN FLORENCE!" I now live here and I was comfy in my sweats, avoiding pre-weekend crowd in town for Calcio Storico (you must come and see it!)...and the window of opportunity to catch my friend during their early dinner was narrow. The Bistrot was dealing with 65 people! But they were most gracious in accommodating me and my friend (who was with the group inside) at tables outside the bistrot. There was a lot of consulting going on, checking with the bar next door to get the Vermentino I wanted to drink, asking the pizza guy if he could make me a pizza in addition to the 65 he was preparing for those inside. Luca, our waiter was gracious and the pizza guy was all smiles! And the pizza was delicious. (I live here, so I'm picky about my pizza.) And even after that tour group left and my friend and I were hanging out waiting for their group to leave, Luca was right there refilling our glasses between rushing about to serve the next incoming tourists from Spain. It was a wonderful time and my friends and a couple of their travel parnters also were impressed. I think we (Luca, the Bistrot, myself and the lovely city of Florence) made an impression. Thanks Baldovino Bistrot! I will recommend you to others in need of a great place to eat or meet up with friends.

Quaint restaurant across from Santa Croce. Excellent spaghetti con ragu. The wait staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions.

We had to wait to check into our apartment and they cleared out a space under some tables for our bags while we ate. The food was fantastic and the service was better. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place, spectacular service, we had an incredible 1,200kg Tbone dinner with red wine, typical dessert and chocolate cake. Perfect Valentine's Day thanks to the service of the very polite and correct staff, rarely seen in Italy

Old style eatery with great local food. I had a beautiful fillet steak with some lovley Tuscan wine. Would definitely go back. Can highly recommend
