Really well equipped and really kind people... Enchanting view for those who love nature and the mountains

Today, my wife and I booked the snowmobile excursion, which gave us the opportunity to meet Riccardo and Andrea, the two guides. Courtesy, helpfulness, and friendliness, along with their sense of belonging to the area, are some of the adjectives that come to mind to describe them. If I may, I'd like to suggest they also highlight other unique features of the area, such as the Aquila di Vaia, the unique climate (known as the "Finland of Italy"), the cemetery of the Unknown Soldier, and perhaps more, to further generate interest in such a beautiful and unique area.

We stopped at this refuge after a hike in the snow. We had a plate of bigoli with venison ragù, a portion of pie with mountain herbs and Asiago cheese, then we had a plate of polenta with cheese, soppressa, and mushrooms. For dessert, a slice of ricotta cake and coffee mousse. Everything was excellent, and with two coffees, we spent 54 euros.

A warm and very characteristic refuge located in a spectacular valley. It's a shame that the kitchen finishes service at 2:30 PM and the choice is forced to focus on bland sandwiches or toasted sandwiches. The service is a bit cold, but perhaps due to the -5°C outside. I'll be back.

Ideal place for families, excellent local cuisine

After a relaxing day in Asiago, we reached the center of Fondo di Valmaron and between one snowman and another we warmed up in this welcoming refuge, very kind staff and excellent view of the slopes.

Quiet location surrounded by nature. Cross-country ski trails 50 meters away. E-bike rental with guide. Excellent cuisine. Chef Marco and Patrizia at the bar are always very kind.
