Very kind and friendly staff, breathtaking view

We discovered Baita Pradel by chance after a hike to the Mortic basalt waterfalls from Canazei, and stopped for lunch. It deserves five stars for the splendid view of Sass Pordoi alone. The dishes are excellent: the trio of canederli is excellent and flavorful, the tagliatelle with venison ragù is truly divine. Also noteworthy is the Radler, for me the best I've had in the entire Val di Fassa, a well-balanced beer and lemon soda. I absolutely recommend stopping by for anyone passing through.

We stopped at this beautiful chalet next to the ski slope at the end of a hike in early August. It's immaculately kept, clean, and very tidy, giving you the immediate impression that everything here is running smoothly. The facility is beautifully presented, with plenty of loungers for those who want to sunbathe or rest after a hike, numerous tables always clean under a shaded awning, and a bike rack. A local highlight, in my opinion, easily accessible from a dirt road that begins along the Pordoi road near the artificial lake near the Hotel Lupo Bianco. Family-run, you can immediately tell how much work they put into it and how much the owners care about this establishment. The cuisine is top-notch, as are the dishes cooked and beautifully presented; from the platters to everything else, the selection is remarkable. Check out the menu to understand. Fair prices! Here we ate the best yogurt with honey and chestnuts in the entire Val di Fassa. Not far away, you can visit the basalt waterfalls, an interesting geological formation. A few meters away is a major downhill bike trail that begins with a ride up the nearby cable car. It's a great place to stop for refreshments, both in summer and in winter when there's snow.
