More than a refuge, it's a beautiful restaurant serving excellent food at competitive prices. The building is recently built (or renovated) and features large outdoor spaces. Inside, they've managed to create a modern and functional atmosphere that still respects the aesthetics of a traditional mountain building, where raw wood dominates. This last point is commendable and far from a given, as the modern/traditional mix isn't always so successful.

In the immediate vicinity of the Dantercerpies cable car station. Spectacular location, renovated a couple of years ago with care and taste, clearly the work of a skilled architect, using natural materials expertly crafted. Delicious lunch with carefully prepared and generous dishes, excellent value for money. The staff, I believe, are the owner family, courteous and welcoming. Truly excellent. The only drawback is that the restaurant is closed in the evening due to lift downtime and the forest road being impassable. Well done!

This mountain hut is located in a spectacular spot near the Dantercepies mid-station. We sat at a panoramic table on the terrace. The service was very fast and everyone was very friendly. Almost all the dishes were very good. We especially enjoyed the stew with dumplings, the cheeses with polenta, and the desserts, both Sachertorte and strudel, even more. The venison tagliolini, however, weren't quite up to par. The price is unfortunately high, but so are all the mountain huts in the area.

This cabin is in a great location, just 15 minutes from Danterceppies, and easy to reach on foot, even for those less experienced. Excellent food, I recommend the trio of canederli, the best I've ever eaten 🔝. Impeccable service ❤️

A modern structure with a classic style. We had some very good first courses. The view is beautiful. The outside area is especially beautiful, where you can relax on the deckchairs and loungers.

16/10/2025: Beautiful plates, but not much to it... Rigati all'arrabbiata? Anything but arrabbiata, but al dente nonetheless. The "mixed salad": green salad with sand between your teeth, four fagioli verdi, and canned corn... The black plate looks classy, ​​but belies the lack of passion in the kitchen. The large sun terrace lacks cushioned seating; they're probably only available upon request. Tourists, cyclists, and workers are constantly queuing here, it's just a shame that the food falls by the wayside... Conclusion: Beautiful place, friendly service, but there's plenty of room for improvement in the culinary department... 🚲🚲🚲 Only 3 out of 5
16/10/2025: We spent three days in Burgstall And three days at the Etschgrund for dinner. The food was excellent all three days. We received a very friendly welcome upon entry. Most restaurants could learn a thing or two from the friendliness of the waitress and the manager.

11/10/2025: We've been going to this family for years and years, and the food has always been excellent. But I just can't stand the tripe diluted with cream. Maybe they've changed the kitchen staff because some dishes were better before. They're always very good at providing great service.
