We were there a few weeks ago, and as always, the food was divine. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rustic feel of a mountain hut is palpable. In the summer, they let you eat outside in the park. After a walk among the trees at the nearby adventure park, a siesta is in order at the poet's hut.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from Pennapiedimonte. The restaurant is located within a man-made pine forest that also houses an adventure park. We ordered grilled vegetables, cheese, and roast meat, and everything was excellent. Attentive service and great hospitality were also evident. The price was reasonable.

We went for lunch and had a great meal, but the service was especially good, as was the fast and efficient service. The young man who served us was very friendly without being intrusive. The place is very beautiful inside, perfectly integrated into the wooded setting. We'll definitely be back.

An authentic traditional experience in the middle of Abruzzo mountains. Great location at the head of many trails and just near an amazing recreational park. The menu features typical Abruzzo recipes and dishes. Home made pastas with truffles, porcini or wild boar red sauce are just amazing. Don’t miss the patate al coppo and the pallotte cacio e ove. Desserts are just incredible and you will be surprised by the quality and the presentation. All this in front of a crackling fireplace with the pitter patter of the rain on the windows…. Truly unique.

29/04/2026: A strategic location for an excellent lunch break during our trip: just a few kilometers from the Chieti Scalo exit. To avoid weighing ourselves down, we only ordered a second course (and no alcohol). Excellent selection of meats! I also found a rarity for Italian restaurants: the "secreto," a special cut of pork widely used in the Iberian Peninsula.

12/12/2025: The food was really good. We had the steak, really good and tender. The bring the beef on a hot plate that cooks at your table. If you want more beef they will bring you more. The meal came with a salad, baked potatoes and another potato that is mixed with spinach, really good. There is a bar in front of the restaurant. Very friendly staff.
