It was the most enjoyable experience of my trip to Italy. There was a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, including cocktails and spirits, and the quantity and taste were well worth the price. The bartender was very friendly and sociable, and the other customers were full of energy; it was a fun time chatting and hanging out together for the first time in a while. I highly recommend this place if you visit Venice.

The prices are slightly lower than standard Venetian tourist fare, and the food was on par with decently sized portions, and the service was friendly. However, I was absolutely galled by the music choice. It touts itself as a jazz bar and a sign on the wall haughtily states that they won’t change the music, to me implying they’re proud of what they play- and I was subjected to a looping 8-song playlist of AI generated pop! Because the loop is so short, I heard each song 3 times in the 90 minutes. It was extremely absurd. I understand that in most places like this, the music is more about the aesthetic than the music itself, but it’s really disappointing to see generated AI in a restaurant with a photo of Miles Davis on the wall… that’s also located within a city renowned worldwide for its contributions to art and music. Senza vergogna…
