Ba Ghetto In Roma

Was recommended to eat in the Jewish Quarter. However, this particular street felt quite touristy with restaurants in a row and it was hard to know which one was good and which was not. There were eight of us. The waitress was nice and helped us with the menu but he wanted to give the father in the party a surprise dish for the main course, which he agreed to. For starters we had three different varieties of artichoke which were all good but the best was the artichoke souffle. All the food was good but nothing that said wow or stood out. The surprise consisted of pigeon and it was also good but not worth the 40 euros that then appeared on the bill. It was the most expensive dish and it didn't feel fair that it was more expensive than anything else on the entire menu. This brings the rating down considerably.

In addition to an excellent dinner, we had the opportunity to be looked after by Max, who combined professionalism with a great sense of humor. Congratulations!

The food was good. One waiter was great but the others not great. They took my fork and gave me food. Not helpful. But the variety of food was nice. You get middle eastern things you can’t get anywhere else

Extraordinary, what can I say... Max is a force to be reckoned with, Food is beyond words... eaten and drunk like a prince, you have to stop by here.

Nice restaurant. I think they need to pay more attention to their clients, and treat turist better. We got there it was raining they made us go out of the entrance and go to another entrance not carring if we got more wet. Had only the 2 cous cous that had meat and vegetables or okra. And they where really good, I do recomend them. I cant vouch for the rest of the food cause I didnt try, but you are safe with this dish 🤣. I don't recomend the entercote, I saw it served to someone else and was a big piece and looked amazing I ordered the same cause they said it would look that way they gave me a smaller size and full of nerves for wich I said I cant eat that, they also said that all their entercote stakes are that size (lie cause the other steak i saw served 5 min before was 50% more meat) and that they all have thise elastic nerves all over, so I would never ever ever order a steak at this location nor would I recomend anyone to get one. Be ware they charge 3€ for a bottle of filtered water, basically sink water. As a foreigner I think thats ridiculous. I understand its hard to have kosher restaurants here and theres not much variety, but because of that the costumer service should be better. Many people recommended this place, but being a person that I have traveled and gone to diffrent restaurants and I personally have been a waitress and have taken care of people, I can say that they need nicer staff, that dont rolle the eyes up, that if you get to the place you say yours starving you dont get the menue after 20 min when there was almost nobody there, and specifically if its raining you dont make your clients go back up stairs to the rain to make them go in through another door insted of letting them just pas from one side of the other through the inside. This experience was just totally disappointing. Except for the cous cous, thats the only thing that was right
