The restaurant has outdoor seating in the garden that borders the road, which is quite busy. The service is good, and the wait times are normal. The day I went, there were several children playing, and I was disturbing the customers. The food is good, but we found a lot of fat in the porceddu (pork suckling pig). Of course, we know it's there, but perhaps there was too much on my plate. The Sardinian platters are good, and the white wine by the glass is very pleasant. At Amerigo, however, I didn't like the lamb dish because it was full of small bones and took a lot of work to eat, having to be careful and pick apart each piece.

Ayaya in Sardinian means grandmother, if I'm not mistaken, grandmother all over the world means home... the dishes they bring to your table take you back home... The staff is always kind and helpful.

Intrigued by Grandma Ayaya's story, we visited this restaurant in mid-June.
Reservations are a must; otherwise, you'll have to go home or eat late. Villasimius has become a circus.
Cute atmosphere, the tables in the garden are lovely, but the others are less so, where people constantly pass you by.
Service: just one woman in a hurry and another man a bit absent.
I have to compliment them, though, because they don't make you feel anxious or rushed. They're always smiling and joking, and they're good despite the situation!
Menu: very classic, a few items, Sardinian tradition.
The mussels are exceptional, with a generous tomato sauce.
The classic culurgiones, with a lackluster filling, are edible but nothing special.
The fregola is good and plentiful, a good fish broth, good ingredients, it's a shame it was a little undercooked.
Good seadas, well-executed
Very good Vermentino
A bit of a long wait between the appetizer and the main course
Bill: about €81 for two, not a small amount considering we're not big eaters, with two first courses, a shared appetizer, a seadas, beer, and a glass of wine.
If you want to drink a bottle and eat two or three dishes each, dessert, coffee, liqueurs, etc., it's over €80-€90 per person, a bit too much for simple dishes in a restaurant like many others.
Prices in Villasimius are like this, and here they're not even too high.
I recommend it anyway, as it's slightly out of the way and less of a food court.
