31/12/2024: Review of the restaurant Lo Scoglio Ubriaco - Cefalù
During our stay at Lo Scoglio Ubriaco in Cefalù, we had the chance to enjoy a magnificent view of the sea from the terrace, which made the experience even more pleasant.
The welcome was particularly warm, with attentive and smiling staff. This immediately gives a good impression and puts you at ease.
In terms of cuisine, we opted for fresh fish – sea bream and sea bass – which were deliciously prepared. The flavors were there, and the cooking was perfect. However, a small downside: the service was quite slow. A little tip: have an aperitif while waiting for the dishes to make the wait more pleasant. In addition, the fish are served alone, without accompaniment. This surprised us a bit, as it indirectly led us to order extra sides.
We tried the local beer, which turned out to be very good and refreshing, perfect to accompany the meal. On the other hand, the grilled eggplant was a bit disappointing, lacking flavor and texture. Fortunately, the fries were up to par and complemented our main course well.
In summary:
• Positive points: Splendid view, warm welcome, quality fish and local beer.
• Points for improvement: Presentation of dishes (accompaniments not included), service and variable quality of grilled vegetables.
Despite these small details, the overall experience was very pleasant, and we will keep fond memories of this dinner by the water.
