29/07/2025: Excellent place, authentic and delicious dishes, very fair prices. Highly recommended if you want to experience the atmosphere of a true Roman tavern from times gone by.

10/07/2025: Hosteria Pietro remains one of those rare and unique Roman trattorias. Rome's neighborhoods were once full of these characteristic coppersmiths, now either gone or transformed into tourist attractions. This one, however, remains a place where locals from the Primavalle neighborhood can meet and where everyone knows each other, more or less. The food is excellent—I'm talking about Roman cuisine. The atmosphere is welcoming, with just the right amount of authentic Romanness, not designed to attract some unsuspecting tourist (see Trastevere). The location isn't the best, but those who come here return. The food is excellent. I recommend the fettuccine with asparagus, bacon, and parmesan—excellent; the breaded steaks are amazing; the sautéed chicory is incredible; and then there's a whole range of Roman dishes, each one better than the last. Believe me, it's worth a visit. Another thing: the prices are fair.
