DESTRUCTURED REVIEW. New management. Neapolitan. His name is still Aroldo. They could have called him Ciro. They forced me there. The atmosphere is elegant. 1 star. The staff is kind and friendly, without being overly so. Another star. Everyone loved the pizza. Star. I didn't so much. I'll take away half a star. Pino Daniele played the background music. I'll take away a star. Still better than Nino d'Angelo. I'll add half a star. Finally, the babà. Star. Excellent coffee. Star. The final bill seemed a bit expensive. I'll take away half a star. (Give me a star, take away a star. I feel like Pat Morita.) I'll be back. And this time they won't have to force me there.

This place is wonderful. The staff are Neapolitan, and their influence shines through in the food and service. The price is reasonable, the food is excellent, and the portions are truly generous. It's a shame we discovered them on the last night of the season!

Unfortunately, the Aroldo is no longer what it used to be. The ambiance is sensational. The food is generally very good, but its specialties, such as the Vesuvio, are simply no longer available.

Management recently changed. It used to be an excellent seafood restaurant. Run by Neapolitans, but the pizza was delicious! Real Neapolitan pizza! And to welcome us, they brought us some delicious fried savory fritters. Very friendly and helpful staff.

My family and I went there a couple of times in a week, and we had a great time. The owner and the wait staff always greet you with a smile. The service is prompt and attentive, and the food...a spectacle! They welcome you with delicious zeppole and meatballs offered by the owners, and then off we go... We also had dinner prepared to go. I highly recommend it. A big hug to all the staff, especially the sweet Matilde. From Laura and family

30/10/2025: I was visiting Bologna, Italy, and although I’m not usually a fan of seafood, I decided to dine at this restaurant because it offered one of the most beautiful views in the area. I didn’t realize at first that they served a full-course menu for 40 euros, but it turned out to be well worth it, especially since my budget for a nice meal was around 50 euros. I walked about 45 minutes to get there from where I was staying, and the walk itself was quite pleasant and interesting. The restaurant offered three types of main dishes: turkey, pork, and fish. I chose the fish because it usually comes in more varieties, and I’m so glad I did—it was honestly the best fish I’ve ever had in my life. Having worked in seven 5-star hotels and traveled to many countries, I can confidently say this was one of the finest meals I’ve ever experienced. I was the only Asian guest in the restaurant, but I felt completely comfortable and welcome. The server spoke excellent English, was very polite and respectful, and provided wonderful service. I highly recommend this place, not just for the delicious food, but for the warm hospitality, lovely ambiance, and authentic local experience. Truly a hidden gem in Bologna!

Il Tempio Di Maxim

22/06/2025: We chose the place on the spot without consulting any reviews. Well located on the seafront, a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, friendly staff, excellent fish, but... We were attracted by the sign for the daily special, we asked for a table for three and were seated; the place wasn't crowded, quite the opposite. Problem 1...they forgot about us. After half an hour of sitting (30 minutes, actually), I asked for them to take our order; we were about to leave. Problem 2...Our order wasn't available; they had sold out of the daily special. To avoid waiting another half hour for them to come back for our order, we chose quickly. Two grilled fish, a plate of tagliolini with shrimp and truffle, a fried calamari and a portion of chips, water and a glass of white wine, and two coffees to finish. Quick service and an excellent first round of dishes. Problem 3...for the fried food, I had to go back and ask the waiters, and it arrived after my guests had already finished...a (partial) disappointment. It was plentiful, but except for the ones above, everything was too greasy. I left half of it because I was almost nauseated. Total cost of €124, and not a single one. Sorry for the delay...a few things could be improved. How will things go when you get there during the peak season?
16/06/2025: We've been going here for years, and it continues to be one of the nicest and most reliable restaurants in the area. In addition to their pizza, you should try their sea bass. Table service is provided... so avoid everyone arriving at 8:00 PM on Saturdays.
