I had a good lunch, but I expected much more based on what I'd heard. The service was okay.
I think this place still thrives on the reputation they've built over the years.

Calling this restaurant an Osteria would be an understatement. The atmosphere evokes memories of osterias—but classy ones—the service, cuisine, and hospitality are those of a restaurant that knows its stuff. The wine list is splendid—an interesting volume—presented by a skilled and attentive sommelier. The cuisine? Superlative. We'll be back.

We chose one of the tasting menus offered. The cappelletti were absolutely delicious! I'm not giving them the "legendary cappelletti" rating only because my mom's are just as good, and my mom obviously wins. The boiled meat platter was a memorable experience. The capon broth, which was definitely excellent, was very clear, which most people appreciated, but I, being a bit of a rustic type, would have preferred it to be fattier.

We dined at Arnaldo's yesterday for lunch with friends, and the experience proved to be a testament to the Reggio Emilia tradition.
We started with a varied mix of appetizers, including excellent cracklings, erbazzone, Parma ham, and carpaccio.
The real star, however, was the selection of boiled and roast meats accompanied by sauces: tongue, head, and zampone were the standouts, but I must say everything else was more than excellent!
Another highlight was the beans with pork rinds, among the best I've ever tasted.
To finish, a chocolate pudding and zabaglione...
We also treated ourselves to a drink: we started with a Lambrusco di Sorbara and then moved on to a couple of champagnes (Remy Leroy Brut Nature and Pol Roger Reserve) that perfectly matched the fattier dishes.
The restaurant is traditional and elegant, and the service is classic, very professional, and fast despite the numerous courses (and here I'd like to mention Cristian, the sommelier, who guided us and assisted us with our wine selection).
The Clinica's historic setting retains an authentic charm that justifies the €140 per person price tag for a meal of this caliber. If you're looking for authentic Emilian cuisine, this is the place to be. Bravo!

An experience worth trying.

restaurant review:
I don't understand where the star comes from. It's reasonable Italian food, but it can be eaten in many other places with nicer service and at a price that is more fair for what you get.
I left the other starred restaurants I've tried with the feeling that I really want to go back there. This time the idea was more that I would rather visit a number of other (non-starred restaurants) again - so now I've tried it but without the desire to return....

I don't think I've ever eaten so well in my life! Excellent service, a homey atmosphere, and incredible food. Super-fresh, top-quality ingredients. The simplicity of Italian and Romagna traditions is brought to the highest level. Everything I look for in a restaurant is here: conviviality and value for money. Thank you, I'll definitely be back!

Everything was truly excellent. A special mention goes to the very young gentleman who served the cheeses, who was very knowledgeable.
We even slept in and had a wonderful time. We'll gladly return.

It will definitely become one of my favorite "ristoranti."
Clean and tidy, the atmosphere is filled with vintage objects, a great mix of modern and antique.
Excellent service and staff,
a breakfast buffet worth trying.
The restaurant, however, is undoubtedly the real highlight.
