AranGino - Arancin* Street Food In Milano

I love arancini so popped by on my first evening in Milan after exploring nearby shops and churches. I had two for my dinner, the prosciutto cotta and scamorza, and the mortadella, straciatella and pistachio. They were cooked freshly to order, and the outside was really crisp and not greasy at all. They were very delicious and really warming and filling on a cold February evening. I ate in and it was quiet and pleasant. My only criticism was the two were very similar, I could only tell the difference due to the small pistachio specks in one, but to be honest, they were still scrumptious so can't say I minded too much. Recommended!

I bought three arancini, 2 with meat sauce and one with ham and scamorza. The consistency of the arancini was excellent (crispy and not very greasy) but what was wrong was the poor seasoning even if it was of good quality and a good dose of saffron and a good rice (the ham and scamorza one was tastier); furthermore the arancini are small compared to the classic ones. So in my opinion the size of the arancina (larger) and the quantity of the seasoning (more abundant) need to be improved. On the positive side, the quality of the ingredients, the consistency of the arancina and the fact that they are fried when ordering. The cost of 3.5 is average for Milan. The guy at the shop was kind. The place is small but sober.

Decent food, there are few arancin to choose from. They plays smells heavy of oil though so I would not recommend to eat in at the small table.

Very good canola. There is no point in sitting there. It's more of a takeaway.

Arancini good and fresh as they are fried at the moment. The ones with mortadella, stracciatella and pistachio and those with ham and scamorza are good. Excellent value for money (€3.50 per arancino). I will definitely be back!
