Our visit to the APE wine bar was an all-around wonderful experience. The sommelier looked after us with great expertise and passion and recommended an excellent wine – just the thing for us. Afterwards, we were able to sample all the aperitifs in the bar and had the opportunity to purchase our favorites directly – a personal and very friendly gesture that impressed us.
The food was excellent: fresh, creative, and perfectly matched to the wines. The atmosphere is warm and inviting; you immediately feel welcome. APE wine bar is a place we would gladly return to – for great wines, outstanding food, and genuine hospitality. Thank you.

An absolute highlight in Alba! 🍷
The Ape Wine Bar impresses with a fantastic selection of wines from the region and beyond. The team is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and takes the time to offer the right recommendations – you can immediately tell that they have a true passion for wine.
The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic – perfect for enjoying a glass (or two 😉) in good company. The small bites and snacks are also of the highest quality and round out the experience.
A wonderful place for wine lovers and connoisseurs – we'll be back!

This is one of the best restaurants in Alba if not the best. The service is friendly and engaging. The food is fresh and delicious. The ambience is superb. If you plan to eat here it would be a good idea to make a reservation. The price is reasonable for the quality and quantity. They’re not out to rip you off. They pride themselves on in top quality honest service. They treat their patrons like VIP’s. I would go back in a heartbeat.

A very nice restaurant by the cathedral. We didn't have a reservation, but we still managed to get a table for the two of us because we arrived before rush hour. The wine list was wonderful – the selection of dishes was small and very fine. The service was extremely attentive, and the wine recommendations were outstanding. We opted for the set menu and were not disappointed at all. We would gladly return.

Certo, cenare ai primi di maggio all'aperto, non è proprio normale e sicuramente è un plus per il ristorante. Abbiamo ordinato due calici come aperitivo e ci hanno portato degli stuzzichini di accompagnamento, poi una "pallina" di insalata russa come benvenuto dello chef. Abbiamo ordinato degli antipasti (di mare e di terra), e dei secondi (anche qui mare e terra), un altro giro di calici ed un dolce in due. Alla fine ci hanno portato un assaggio di pasticceria secca, intanto che aspettavamo il conto; il tutto per 65 € a persona, che mangiando pesce e tagli pregiati di manzo, non è molto. Il servizio è stato molto professionale e cordiale, tutte le portate sono state di altissimo livello e poi c'è la piazza...
