I wandered in by chance and was pleasantly surprised!
A warm and welcoming little osteria, with delicious and surprising food. The first course was very good, and the second course was exceptional!
The Iberian Pluma was mind-blowing, and to finish, the Gorgonzola and honey gelato was 10/10.

My husband and I went to this place last night. We felt at home, the staff was very kind and polite. The location is very cute, rustic, clean, and reminiscent of old-fashioned taverns! The red and white checked tablecloths are lovely, taking us back in time! The menu is very varied! We had a very good meal, especially the porcini mushrooms, which were a nice option off the menu! I really don't understand the bad reviews I've read about this place!!! Prices are absolutely in line with the quality of the food! We'll definitely be back to try more, especially the desserts, which this time... we didn't get to because we were so full!!!!

Wonderful place, very cozy decor in old walls, very friendly service. We had a mixed salad, pasta with porcini mushrooms, and for dessert, tiramisu and chocolate salami. Everything was perfect. A great grappa rounded off the menu perfectly. We also saw a risotto made from a Parmesan cheese wheel, so we'll try that tomorrow 😉

Quando andiamo ad Arona per noi "Il Gallo" è sempre una tappa fissa. Locale dove regna tranquillità e buona cucina. Specialità piemontesi e di Lago con qualche variazione interessante. Da provare anche per la posizione centrale ma fuori dal caos del lungo lago.
