Monteriggioni proved to be a pleasant and unexpected visit and the same was true for this tavern which offers traditional dishes presented with enthusiasm and of excellent quality. You will also be surprised by the prices which to define as "honest" is an understatement when compared to the quality. We arrived at the opening because we then had to return but, from the movement I perceived, I think it is necessary to book well in advance.

Divinely eaten: very tasty fried artichokes with quality cured meats, excellent carpaccio and pappardelle with exceptional Chianina ragout! Perfect matching wine! Adequate price

Had dinner in the company of friends in a welcoming location, cheerful and friendly staff, we immediately felt at ease and everything we ate was delicious, a refined cuisine that enhances the truly quality taste both in the raw materials but also in the mastery of the execution of the dishes...... congratulations.

We were there for 2 consecutive days, lunch and dinner, we completely fell in love with it! Wide range of options including vegetarian options, varied menu, honest prices and sublime wines. A very positive note is that they follow the seasonality of the products. Fabrizio and his staff are wonderful, friendly and prepared, they know how to advise you and find the solution to everything. I give 5 stars because I can't give more, otherwise I would classify the tavern as one of the best restaurants in the area in the province of Siena. Excellent food, we returned 3 days in a row as the hotel was close by, they didn't miss a dish! Everything delicious and ample vegetarian choices too. In short, a place that satisfies almost everyone. Highly recommended

Siamo stati accolti in modo così cortese che faceva ben pensare per il prosieguo. Infatti, la disponibilità e la cortesia si sono mostrati durante tutto il tempo della cena con validi consigli per la cena. Piatti toscani cucinati sapientemente e con originalità accompagnati da un ottimo vino rosso. Spettacolare il prosciutto locale assaggiato. Una cena sublime Complimenti

Location suggestiva e molto curata. Menù ampio con buona possibilità di scelta, così come è buona la carta dei vini anche se ovviamente molto orientata sul vino per eccellenza del territorio il chianti. Le pietanze sono qualitativamente apprezzabili. Il servizio gentile ma molto lento. Unica nota dolente il conto. Su consiglio del cameriere abbiamo preso qualche piccolo assaggio di antipasto fuori menù che si è rivelato eccessivamente caro rispetto ai prezzi dei piatti in menù. E purtroppo questo consiglio ci ha lasciato con molto amaro in bocca. 2 tartare con un piattino di fiori di zucca, 4 piattini di antipasto (e quando dico piattini intendo assaggini), 2 bottiglie di acqua e 1 di vino (il meno caro della lista) ci è costato 121 euro. E per fortuna che amaro è caffè sono stati offerti altrimenti altro che 120 euro...credo quindi che nonostante la buona esperienza non tornerò in questo locale. Peccato.
