Stunning place, excellent food and impeccable hospitality

A trattoria that speaks volumes about its long history, with extremely helpful staff and fast service. It offers typical local dishes, including delicious and tender horse meat—an excellent alternative.

We chose this place as a stop on our way to Venice. The food was truly delicious; the liver melted in our mouths. For reasons I won't go into here, our 7-year-old son wasn't feeling well, but we were managing it and didn't care. The waiter's intervention, addressing the child and telling him that his crying was disturbing the other diners, was truly unwelcome. Considering we were outdoors (therefore, the noise was muffled) and we were managing the situation, it only made the situation worse. The owner apologized when we complained, saying the waiter shouldn't have intervened; so I really appreciated the apology. But I don't consider it a place suitable for children, or at least not capable of handling them. It's a shame, because the food would be really good.

Special praise goes to Federico, the youthful waiter, whose passion, friendliness, and attentive service made the lunch even more enjoyable. It's wonderful to find people who do their job with enthusiasm and professionalism. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to rediscover traditional cuisine in a welcoming and authentic atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
