Antico Ristorante Mastrangelo In Caserta

We went for the first time 3 years ago by chance after a walk around Caserta we asked if it was possible to have a table for 3 without a reservation because it was August the restaurant was full and they made us sit super friendly the food was delicious the place was gorgeous I have been there other times always excellent.

Very nice and welcoming place in the historic center of old Caserta. It's the first time I went there without reading reviews. Very friendly staff, excellent service and more than excellent food. From the land appetizers to the Caserta platter. We had first courses with homemade tagliatelle and grilled meat, in particular black pig sausage with potatoes. Very good... the choice of desserts is also very wide.

Let me start by saying that it is the first time I have come to eat in this place, there were 3 of us, we stopped by chance as we were attracted by the fact that the restaurant was located inside a 1500s monastery, we were in Caserta Vecchia and I recommend eating here because I found their cold cuts boards excellent, their first courses handmade at the moment with fresh homemade pasta and then the meat is excellent. Mr. welcomed and served us. Fiore who was very kind to us and then told us the history of the place. We ate for lunch and spent a lovely afternoon in the old town of Caserta! I highly recommend it and the prices are average, we spent 100 euros in total including a glass of wine plus 2 coffees offered by the owner. We will be back!

All good. I suggest you be careful when ordering bottled wine, it costs three times the initial price. They don't usually bring the wine list to the table. A real scam!

We ate two delicious soups and were served with great care and friendliness by the manager. The wine by the glass was also very good and the homemade desserts were superb. Excellent quality/price ratio.

Unforgettable lunch with the owner's welcome and kindness, I will definitely return. Super recommended….

Visiti Casertavecchia e non puoi rimanere attratto dalla mega pubblicità dei piatti che offre questo ristorante. Anzi quasi imponente! e allora ci si mette ad aspettare l'apertura perchè ormai la fatica turistica è terminata. E siamo i primi ma con nessuno dietro...Veniamo accolti da un cameriere di altri tempi, anzi Cameriere con la C maiuscola perche con il suo savoir fare oltre ad accomodarci all'aperto, ci ha proposto il tour fotografico delle Persone Famose transitate in questo ristorante! Anche la Regina Madre ha pranzato qui! Riseduti è cominciata la nostra cena di pappardelle ai funghi, costata di maialino nero e parmigiana di melanzane. Calava la sera e finalmente (per loro...) ecco 2 famiglie ad occupare i tavoli dentro a questo convento caratteristico. Qualita del cibo alta, servizio "coccole" quasi imbarazzante eccezzionale. Arrivederci!!

Location carina al centro di Caserta vecchia, proprio di fronte al duomo. Personale cortese. Tempi di attesa un pó lunghi, ma fa niente... Prezzi medi Porzioni abbondanti Passando al cibo...antipasti buoni 10-15 euro a persona Primi discreti ma pieni d aglio...so che da sapore ma la mia pasta sembrava condita con crema d aglio...un aroma che ha coperto tutti gli altri sapori e per me eccessivo in quantitativo...la metà bastava! Secondi non all altezza in quanto la carne (cosa più costosa del menù) risultava molto dura, bisogna avere mascelle ben allenate, mi riderisco alla tagliata di scottona e cotoletta soprattutto. Patatine discrete ma surgelate (anche se quando abbiamo chiesto ci hanno detto di no), verdure grigliate anch esse troppo piene d aglio... Coperto 2.50 euro Consiglio di utilizzare una qualità di carne diversa o cucinarla in modo da intenerirla un pó e poi di andarci piano con l aglio...credo che lo ricorderò per giorni
