Antico Grottino Da Fabiola In Ariccia

We had booked for lunch and were seated outside (all good), except that we were very crowded (there were more tables than necessary in a small space) and in the sun because the umbrellas didn't cover some tables at all. We waited almost 40 minutes for our orders and just as long for the first courses. The dishes were all brought out of sync: an appetizer with a sandwich, followed by a pasta dish, and much later the main pasta dish. The sandwich and appetizer were very good and I recommend them, but the two pasta dishes (carbonara and gricia) were VERY tourist-catching, not good at all. All this was compounded by the waiters arguing with each other, and one waiter in particular was constantly complaining to us customers about the table arrangements and other things, saying he wanted to stay home, that he didn't want to be there, that he had to take vacation, etc. In short, not a very nice thing to hear. Finally, the bill, perfectly fair for what we ate, EXCEPT for the fact that they added a Coke and a bread basket that NEVER arrived at the table. For goodness sake, we paid €3, but at least they should be honest. If you're going to eat somewhere, I recommend taking out sandwiches and that's it.

A pleasant and friendly restaurant, offering hot dishes, platters, and sandwiches. First courses, meats, side dishes, and, of course, the ever-present porchetta, are truly delicious. The desserts are also excellent. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming. Overall, the cleanliness is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!

I haven't had such a good time at a restaurant in a long time. Great prices, high quality, a wide variety of dishes, excellent service. Everyone was extremely kind and attentive. Highly recommended!

La prima volta non si scorda mai, ma la seconda e le successive confermano la prima impressione e ti dicono se la scelta è stata giusta. Sono tornato più volte con diversi amici e colleghi, e sempre la stessa piacevole esperienza. Abbiamo trovato persone gentili ed accoglienti, che ti offrono le più buone specialità che ti aspetti ad Ariccia (la porchetta prima di tutte !), che ti fanno sentire un ospite gradito più che un cliente. Prezzo più che onesto, per cose semplici, caratteristiche e buone come ti aspetti in una fraschetta. Bravi, torneremo e parleremo di voi perché lo meritate
