Antico Caffe Spinnato In Palermo

Kind and welcoming staff and a great choice of (very good) croissants.

The food was delicious, and the service was friendly. The people there were also very friendly, and there weren't many tourists. It's a bit on the pricier side for Italy (not very expensive, but a bit more upscale), but you really get what you pay for!

In general caffe in Palermo is great everywhere, but here is outstanding 👌☕️

We had breakfast and sampled some of the best pastries in Palermo, including cannoli, their delicious mellone, and a sfogliatella. Everything was truly excellent: we loved it.

Sandwiches and baked goods are standard. Cannolis were average, Cornetto below average, price is high just for the ambience. Staff are quite rude and pushy.

Antico Caffè Spinnato is one of Palermo's historic cafes and is worth visiting for its tradition and history. Spinnato +1 However, after the visit, I felt that the fame ends up overshadowing the experience. The quality is good, but I didn't feel it was a benchmark to the point of justifying all the reputation it has. There are many other options in the city where you can eat better or enjoy a more memorable experience. Still, for those who like to visit historical places, it remains an interesting stop. In the end, I would say it's worth the visit for the tradition, but it wouldn't be my first choice if the goal was just to eat or try the best pastry in Palermo.

Wonderful cooling during the heatwave

A must-stop if you're visiting Palermo, especially if you fancy breakfast or a break for a good coffee and a typical Sicilian pastry. It's easy to see why Spinnato is so famous and has received so many accolades. We ordered a macchiato (espresso with milk), a cappuccino, and a pistachio cannolo, and it all came to €5.40, an incredible price for the quality they offer. The pistachio cannolo was spectacular. The pastry was crispy, the filling very creamy with an authentic pistachio flavor, without being overpowering. Without a doubt, one of the best cannoli we've had during our trip. The coffees were also very good and perfectly prepared. The service was quick even though it was quite busy, and the café has a very pleasant atmosphere, with a lively mix of tourists and locals, which is always a good sign.

I had lunch here twice and found the atmosphere elegant, the staff attentive and very kind, the food excellent and the prices reasonable.

Been here couple of times and became our breakfast spot for our family holidays. Thanks to Ricardo & all the team for the fabulous welcome. Will see you again soon . London- Palermo 2026
