I visited here three times during my week-long trip to Rome and Florence.
Everything is delicious, and above all, the service is friendly!
I had the steak twice, the pasta every time I came, the ravioli, and the wine are all great.

L’orso 80 is a real gem, located off the beaten path. The owner is always glad to see you and treats everyone with great enthusiasm and care. The food and atmosphere is truly authentic.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The restaurant lies in a relatively quiet part of central Rome, just a few minutes away from Piazza di Monte Citorio and the Camera dei deputati. You usually don't need a reservation to get a table there.
The food is reasonably priced and the service is excellent. We have visited it both for lunch and dinner, and have enjoyed it every time.

I visited a little after 12:30 PM, and an employee was standing in front of the restaurant and cheerfully beckoned me in. I was led inside. Even as I was being led to my seat, the owner, perhaps the owner, sat at the counter and greeted me. I tried the pepper steak and seafood risotto recommended by the tour guide. The steak was incredibly tender, and the sauce was a Korean favorite. I thought there were two pieces of steak, but the meat underneath was bread. The seafood risotto had plenty of mussels and tasted exactly like risotto made with a seafood-based sauce. The staff were friendly, and the restrooms were clean.

A fantastic, very traditional family trattoria.
The Italian cuisine was generous and truly delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The service was old-fashioned, simple, and warm, creating a friendly atmosphere just the way we like it.
The prices were very reasonable.
A wonderful place for an authentic evening out.
