dancing wild in their quest for immolation.
Attentive, red wine lapping.
Quiet waiters audible only by their crunching steps, on pebbles surrounded by stone, sea, trees and vapor.
And my heart tapping wild.

I agree with the positive reviews. Excellent restaurant, very kind waiters and a greeting to Mr Suban who greets guests in person. The dinner was one of the best in Trieste, especially the iota coffee 😉😉

I returned with my family after a few years wonderful experience traditional cuisine impeccable service dinner in an enchanting suburban garden al fresco under a fantastic pergola.

Historic place. Open since 1865. High level restaurant: it has also seen presidents, popes etc. among its guests.
Slovenian-run, owned by the same family since its foundation.
Located on the outskirts, S. Giovanni district, interiors and exteriors worthy of particular note.
Typical local traditional foods, superbly prepared and very well served. Excellent wines. Very good prices. It is better to book.

Entrare in un ristorante che si porta appresso una tradizione di cultura, di gastronomia locale, di gestione familiare è un’esperienza unica. Se unita all’eccellenza dei piatti proposti e delle materie prime utilizzate allora l’esperienza è perfetta. Non possiamo che ringraziare l’attuale generazione della famiglia Suban per averci accolti con calore umano e atmosfera cordiale nel loro locale. La loro professionalità ed empatia sono state molto apprezzate.

This was our favorite Trieste restaurant! We visited based on a recommendation from the hotel concierge. It did not disappoint. Lovely spot on a hill. Highlights for us were the tagliatelle and savory crepe. Would love to have again - highly recommend!
