Despite the distance from the city center (55 min), excellent food, homely atmosphere and the restaurant owner himself will recommend a choice of food. Great.

If I could give 10 stars, I'd gladly do so. A historic restaurant where everything is perfect...always...excellent food, impeccable service and hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere. Always busy, so booking well in advance is recommended. I hope to return soon. Congratulations!

A nice place, with a trattoria-style feel (but the prices are much higher than you'd expect), the service is quick and clean, and the dishes are good, albeit small. One dish isn't enough to fill you up; you'll need at least two, which will significantly increase the bill. All in all, it's very, very good. I'd go back, even if it only looks like a trattoria, because the prices and portions are almost those of a luxury restaurant. The menu is sophisticated and unique, and it's easily manageable. However, you can't justify the decidedly high price for a trattoria by saying it's because they use unique local ingredients. I recommend it, but for special events or celebrations, in which case it's truly the ideal place.

11/12/2025: A traditional osteria where you feel at home even if you're a tourist. Exquisite traditional and seafood dishes and welcoming staff. We returned the next day. Good value for money.

Antico Buffet Benedetto

09/04/2026: Visited a few months ago for work and a quick dinner, and on vacation with friends. A genuine osteria, just the way I like it. The dishes are typical of Trieste's meat (excellent) and fish (perhaps a little less, but still very good). The service is simple and efficient, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional trattoria.
07/04/2026: Traditional Trieste dishes, Jota, to say it was delicious is an understatement, eating it brought a tear to my eye, a dish you eat with your family, prepared by mothers and grandmothers with love.
