"Trattoria" is an understatement for a restaurant that for four generations has delighted its customers with dishes that reflect a love for this profession. The table setting is worthy of a restaurant, the dishes impeccable, the wine cellar satisfies even the most discerning palates, and last but not least, the welcoming nature of the owner, who, despite his venerable age, explains the dishes to guests, assisted by a competent and helpful staff. I must also express my appreciation for the bill, which was pleasantly surprised, considering the high quality of the dishes and the service. I hope Suban will pass on the fruits of his labor for another four generations.

We've been there several times. The outdoor area has a really lovely atmosphere, the food is tasty and partly regional, and the service is friendly and unobtrusive.

The food may be excellent, but finding parking is impossible. It's located in one of the most squalid, peripheral, and inaccessible areas of Trieste. If you managed to find a parking spot after an hour, you'll be so angry you'll lose your appetite. I'm not asking for a reserved parking spot, but at least for a valet service in a designated area. Canceled.

A Trieste institution offering exceptional value. A warm welcome on a large terrace shaded by a beautiful leafy pergola. We enjoyed the prosciutto crudo, pappardelle ai mirtilli, gnocchi viola and the house speciality, stinco di vitello. Everything was generous and accompanied by an excellent wine list.
It is slightly outside the city centre, but well worth the short journey. An institution and an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Trieste. Exceptional value for money.
