Trattoria Suban ..via Emilio Comici 2 .. Trieste..has outdoor tables, has a beautiful fireplace and also offers a nice children's menu..the place has rustic interiors with exposed beams, beautiful wrought iron chandeliers, and a beautiful outdoor area. This trattoria is the real point of reference in the city, it is family run and you can taste all the flavors of the best meats...and you can eat many dishes linked to the local culture. For example...crespelle alla mandriera, duck pesto with sauces and Karst herbs, marinated beef with strawberries in vinegar and also a good cut, grilled on the brazier, good local cooked hams, hood with rice and paprika, a delicious Hungarian cake, palacinke, and a good grandmother's walnut potentina, and together you can drink excellent wines.. Among the desserts... strudel, dumplings, goulash, and their dessert of the pope". If you too pass through Trieste, keep this in mind and you will be thrilled.

The strength of tradition that resists and renews itself. Traditional Trieste cuisine of the highest quality, with some recipes invented here, such as the excellent palacinke with basil. Flavors that we will remember, also for the great tasting combinations. When choosing, the owner gave us suggestions with kindness and competence. Many possibilities for children too. Very attentive and very fast service, even for New Year's Eve lunch, with the restaurant fully booked. I understand why he hosted presidents Cossiga and Scalfaro and prepared the banquet for John Paul II to see. This is what can be called excellence.

Locale eccellente sotto tutti i punti di vista, ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene, piatti ottimi della cucina triestina, servizio impeccabile, cura del cliente, tavolo ampio e comodo, atmosfera rilassante. Una chicca: l'accoglienza del titolare, che ci ha salutato al tavolo spiegando alcuni piatti tipici. Consigliatissimo, esperienza da ripetere. Prenotazione via internet, comodissima e perfetta.

On advice we went to this historic trattoria, a pleasant and friendly environment. Good quality traditional Trieste cuisine, prices consistent with the quality of the food. Very recommended.

Era da tempo che non mi alzavo da un ristoratnte così soddisfatto. Cibo ottimo,un menù vario ,ovviamente di carne,con un occhio particolare ai piatti del territorio ma soprattutto un servizio attento,veloce e cortese. Eravamo in 15 per il classico pranzo di auguri natalizi,locale strapieno,siamo stati serviti in tempi normali e con gentilezza e di questi tempi non è cosa da poco...il Signor Mario ci ha dato due parole di benvenuto come si cinviene tra persone ben educate ed insomma.. che vi devo dire ..fa piacere mangiare dove si respira professionalità e non improvvisazione. Conto adeguato. Bravi!!
