A classic place of wonderful consistency. Here, cherished traditions are still preserved with style and a deep love for authenticity. Triestine cuisine is celebrated in this restaurant. Jota, delicate gnocchi, wonderfully creamy fusi with chicken, roast with artichokes, veal shank... ohhh. Excellent wine selection from the region and beyond. Very attentive service and impeccable table manners. Bravo!

I was invited to a 25th birthday party. The food was good, but the portions were gargantuan. A toast with sausage, appetizer, first course, second course, coffee or liqueur (a taste of cake) was served. I got home at 11:00 and was hungry.
The location and service were splendid, the wine excellent, I'd say. It's ridiculous to bring a taste of jota in half a coffee cup with 2.3 teaspoons of it.
Perhaps if you're eating alone or with a few people, the portions are normal, but given the experience, I don't feel like going again. It all seems strange to me because it's a place that's always been famous for its food.
I'm sorry, but it was just so...poor.

The frequently mentioned higher price level is not accurate. Considering what we consumed, the service, and the ambiance, this restaurant is highly recommended and reasonably priced.

Awsome place still led by the same guy for at least 40 years. Great food, fair prices, great atmosphere. Even though age caught up to to the owner and he is using crutches, he comes by and makes conversation with every customer. 90% locals, I was the only tourist here which was great and exactly what I look for when dining abroad. Whole heartedly recommend this spot.

I've been going there since I was a child, and every time I return to Trieste, it's a must-stop. I've brought many friends there to sample our delicacies. Excellent value for money, always.

Despite the distance from the city center (55 min), excellent food, homely atmosphere and the restaurant owner himself will recommend a choice of food. Great.

Excellent historic trattoria where you can enjoy basil omelettes. A blend of traditional cuisine and a touch of innovation. Definitely worth a try!
