Antica Trattoria Solari In Reggio nell'emilia

A quaint, timeless trattoria in the Parma Apennines, just a few kilometers from the famous Bardi Castle. A colorful and original atmosphere, authentic and delicious food (we had a fantastic torta fritta accompanied by a platter of local cured meats, homemade herb ravioli, and delicious loin and fried porcini mushrooms). Not excellent, but very good. The portions are generous, but the prices are a bit high for the category.

A surreal place... You have to "identify" it, understand it, and enjoy what it offers. Everything is homemade, traditional dishes full of flavors and aromas... and you can eat as much as you want... The portions are generous, and seconds or thirds are welcome. We had a truly wonderful time, and Mrs. Paola's warm welcome, always smiling, was the perfect complement to a wonderful day. Trattoria with several items from many years ago that have a history, family-run place, kind and helpful, home-made but good dishes, appetizer buffet many delicious things, tagliatelle with mushrooms, pumpkin soup, cream of porcini mushrooms, roast with cream of mushrooms, tortelli with herbs, fried mushrooms, semifreddo with amaretti delicious... we went with the dog and they were very kind to him too, they served the roast with seconds appreciated by our puppy....

On Saturday evenings, it offers pizza and a fish menu; this Saturday, it features penne with salmon, mussels, and fried shrimp. Everything is delicious; on Sundays, it's the usual all-inclusive menu.
