Antica Trattoria Etnea In Catania

I think that despite the negative reviews, the food is very good and we really enjoyed it :)

Went to this lovely restaurant in catania Sicily before leaving to the airport to try their food and we were not disappointed at all. Since there are so many restaurants at this strip, we wanted to try this place and we were Pleasantly surprised at the quality and portions served. Ordered a seafood pasta and an assortment of meats platter that came with a choice of wine or beer or cocktail. Service was professional and attentive. They also gave us a plate of pastries which was excellent. Prices were very good. The seafood pasta I had was absolutely amazing. Taste , texture and quantity was perfect. Great location. Seating outdoors and indoor seating available but maybe a bit tight . Overall my personal preference and experience was wonderful.

Luckily, I was specifically looking for a type of food on the map, that's how I ended up at this restaurant. I really liked the food, my girlfriend had grilled veal, which was also very delicious. I thought I would write a review because I'm satisfied, then I saw that the place only has 2.5 stars 😅 The service is really cute.. you have to wave to finally get noticed, but they are polite and kind. The price couldn't be better, almost everything is 9 euros, and there are photos for all the dishes, so there are no surprises (+ how long it takes to prepare them) Thank you very much
