Not a completely positive experience.
We came to this trattoria for a family lunch. There were six adults and two children, and we encountered several issues. While ordering, when we asked for a change to the "mixed side dishes" appetizer (i.e., "Is it possible to replace the nervetti with cheese?" for a vegetarian), we were told that it wouldn't be possible because the cheese costs a different amount than the nervetti. In these cases, the customer is told that the change can be made to the dish, but that due to the difference in price, a surcharge will be applied, not that it simply can't be done. In the end, the waiter accommodated us, but we were disappointed to see that the dish that arrived at the table contained a few flakes of Parmesan, so the controversy didn't make much sense. P.S. I'm a chef and I know the various food costs.
We then ordered two complete appetizers for €22 to share, which included mixed cured meats with fried gnocco, a mix of pickled vegetables, and veal with tuna sauce. When we got to the table, the veal with tuna sauce was missing and had been replaced with a butter and anchovy crostini (one for each mixed appetizer, so two crostini in total, impossible to share between six). The waiter didn't mention it. If I had to make a comment, like with the first appetizer, the veal with tuna sauce and anchovy crostini also have different prices... especially considering the quantities.
Among the appetizers, however, we enjoyed the cured meats, the mondeghili, the gnocco fritto, and the Russian salad.
For first courses, we ordered three risottos, two tagliatelle, and one ravioli. The portions were generous, but the recipes weren't unforgettable; perhaps the lack of seasoning detracted a bit. Here, the risotto is a bit drier than the creamy Milanese risotto we're used to.
The tiramisu was good.
Overall, the atmosphere is pleasant, the location is nice, and the lady at the entrance is very kind. It certainly has the potential to become a regular haunt, but it lacks a little extra attention, both in the kitchen and in the dining room. For now, it's a shame.

When fabulous is an understatement...
Delicious and generous dishes; we ordered a platter of fried gnocco, fresh and tasty cured meats.
The honey-wrapped pork shank melted in the mouth, a spectacle, and the desserts were equally impressive.
All this was accompanied by perfect service, with attentive, professional, and discreet staff.
Excellent value for money, I recommend it!

Traditional dishes, always excellent. The risotto, in its various presentations, is superb. Friendly service. Honest.

A place where you can eat authentically. And the people are very kind.
On February 14, my wife and I had to take her to some local activities. She was having dinner with her "special" friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
In the afternoon, I called and the very kind owner told me that service began at 7:30 PM and that we'd be in time.
We booked for two.
A "classic" place, it's been around for about a century. But it's in step with the times. The plates are full, not 20 grains of rice or 5 spaghetti...
We shared a platter of cold cuts (local, you can taste it) and gnocco fritto.
I asked for a Milanese risotto with sausage and porcini mushrooms to be brought to us on two plates. It arrived perfect for me, but my wife was a bit late. But it was a risotto, not sautéed boiled rice...
Then the braised beef with porcini mushrooms and polenta.
A portion each.
Too good. I could have eaten two plates of it.
It must have cooked for at least six hours. And it was a beautiful piece of meat.
Want to try it? You cut off a piece, put it in your mouth, and there's no need to chew: it melts in your mouth, delicious.
Then the freshly made polenta and porcini mushrooms (in a separate sauce) complete a great dish.
The still house red wine: a good cut.
Excellent service, and a lovely lady at the counter.
Fair price.
Highly recommended.
Cracco, you lost this time ;-)

A typical Milanese trattoria. A welcoming atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Traditional Milanese dishes are served in generous but not overly generous quantities. Excellent wine selection. The only drawback is the noise, but we were there in the middle of several birthday parties at the same time! Highly recommended.

A family-run Lombard trattoria with very professional staff. I had dinner last night with a friend. The owner called me because a table was free, and I really appreciated the gesture. We had a cured meats appetizer with fried gnocco and the truly sublime cutlet on the bone. Recommended.
