The creamed cod appetizer was really excellent, perhaps the best I've ever eaten. The cockerel, a local specialty, I didn't find so special.
The location is very beautiful and the service excellent. Nice things come at a price but in my opinion it's slightly expensive.

The flavors are the same as always.
Mr. Gerli's recipes are wonderful.
The friendly welcome and the always impeccable service.
A well-stocked wine list.
A basic but very well cooked children's menu.

I had dinner with a mixed starter (cotechino, lentils, anchovies, Russian salad, meatballs, salami......more than abundant......I continued with friarelli gnocchi and sausage, then the dessert, a sort of apple strudel with yogurt ice cream....all with an excellent Nebbiolo wine....more than satisfied with both service and quality! Very nice atmosphere!

Questo è un luogo del cuore, o meglio lo diventa per chi scrive. Corrisponde in tutto alle mie aspettative. Ambiente e cucina al top. Prima di prenotare ho letto alcune recensioni, qualcuna stonata a firma di qualche "barboncino" che non comprende che la qualità ha un suo costo. Un costo che oltretutto non abbiamo trovato esagerato. Con un'ottima carta dei vini. Che altro aggiungere se non raccomandarlo ai veri buongustai? Per gli altri criticoni (del prezzo) consiglio di mangiare....a casa. Evviva

Dopo diverso tempo siamo tornati in questa trattoria, mi ricordavo che avevamo sempre mangiato bene e la cosa è stata ampiamente confermata. Ho preso il “pastrami” come antipasto (16€), dove la lingua è portata dentro un panino: semplicemente squisita! Poi come primo il “riso al salto” (16€), davvero buono, mentre la “delizia di marroni” come dessert (10€) è stata la degna conclusione del pranzo. Quella dei vini non è una lista, ma un vero volume nel quale perdersi, comunque noi abbiamo preso una buona bottiglia di Morellino a 20€. Credo che non lasceremo più trascorrere così tanto tempo per la prossima visita.
