Prenotiamo per ora di pranzo in questa storica trattoria, distante dal centro storico ma raggiungibile facilmente in autobus. Il locale è famoso per le tagliatelle fatte in casa ma noi preferiamo optare per altro. Ordiniamo antipasto di salumi e antipasto della gigina (la spuma di mortadella molto buona), proseguiamo con tortellini in brodo (abbondanti e molto scenografici, serviti in una zuppiera) e due cotolette con tartufo bianco e fonduta di formaggio. Tutto squisito davvero. Personale simpatico, alla mano, come se fossero di famiglia. Da rivedere qualche accortezza nella gestione del servizio. Prezzo a persona per 4 antipasti, 4 primi, 2 secondi, acqua, vino e caffè 52 euro. Direi equo considerando la qualità e l'abbondanza dei piatti.

Let's say that even though it was agreed what they would bring as appetizers and first courses the same for everyone, the quantities of both appetizers and first courses were really meager. Not even the bread was abundant. And we were about 20 people.

I've known this place for a few years, and sometimes, either for some important event or to let friends try Bolognese dishes, I come here, because one of the best
We take mortadella foam as an appetizer, good, as a first course: gramigna with sausage, very good but in my opinion they almost seem more passatelli than gramigna, but sausage ragù still good, tortellini in broth, very good, tagliatelle with ragù, very very good, although perhaps the only flaw is the ragù which is very abundant, but still excellent, and then the lasagna... to lose your mind, really good, one of the best I have eaten, Bolognese cutlet, without truffles, and this too is really good, flavors that match perfectly and of high quality... As a side dish, the friggione could not be missing, good; and to top it off, fried cream and rice cake, and both were truly delicious and exceptional. The restaurant is a bit outdated, has some fashion but could be upgraded.
Service is a bit chaotic.
Food is excellent: tortellini are gorgeous while ragout is fabulous. Very good tagliatelle as well, fresh and full of eggs; I would have expected an irregular cut of tagliatelle while it seems they are done with a machine. Still great, but not charmy.

Excellent restaurant, TOP hospitality and service.
If you are in the Bologna area, stop for lunch or dinner, it's really worth it...
The Tortellini and Lasagna are excellent but also the "sporcaface" to taste....

Certainly for many it is an undisputed historic place, but tradition cannot always be preserved over time. Fresh starters and first courses without discussion. I can't say the same thing about the latter. The wines and dessert were good.

Ristorante molto accogliente, tradizionale, ma con delle rivisitazioni interessanti. Il piatto di antipasto misto della Gigina molto, molto buono, tartare di manzo ottima, vitello tonnato idem. Cappelletti .... o meglio, tortellini in brodo spettacolari.
E tanti giovani al servizio, molto bravi e gentili.
