They've been "hosting" us for dinner for years now. The verb is chosen and intentional to express the courtesy and dedication that Vincenzo and his wife reciprocate towards their customers. For us, it's a regenerating break to continue our journey towards Calabria. Borgata "Il buon respiro" (Good Breath), arriving from Turin revitalizes the lungs and stomach. Start your holiday with them: homemade tagliatelle, top-quality meat seasoned with black truffle aromas, grilled to perfection, fresh chicory, and fabulous desserts... revitalized by the welcoming atmosphere, surrounded by sunflowers and endless greenery... pampering that stays with you for the entire trip... thank you so much, guys! Excellent food. We had pasta with truffles and delicious starters. Especially if you’re a meat lover. We enjoyed the quality food prepared with love. Go to this place when you’re rally hungry. A lovely place.

Passing through the area, we stopped for a quick lunch. The place is a typical trattoria, with a rather cluttered entrance with a counter, followed by an indoor dining room and a lovely outdoor terrace. The menu is regional, appropriately not overly extensive but still more than adequate. We chose a platter of cold cuts to share and a first course each. The quality of the cured meats was excellent, the fresh pasta with wild boar ragù was delicious, and the cacio e pepe was equally good. The portions were very generous. The owner has a loud voice but is very friendly. The bill wasn't excessive. We ate well.

A simple and basic place, but it amazed us with its truly exquisite and generous dishes. We'll definitely be back.

Don't judge a book by its cover, because Vincenzo, with his booming voice and hearty dishes, will delight you with simplicity, authenticity, and effectiveness. It's a real treat, and yes, some may disagree.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our B&B. The food was good; we had grilled meats for two, a tiramisu 😁, and a bottle of Umbria wine. The dining room and decor are modest, but that's not my main concern.
