Despite it being a holiday and not having booked in advance, we managed to get a table inside. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff friendly, and the traditional dishes were delicious and plentiful. The bill was reasonable.

After spending the evening at this restaurant, the food was not up to par, the stuffed pigeon was reheated, and the orecchiette were mediocre.

The greeting at the door by a miserable guy almost put us off. We arrive at 12.15 to be told lunch doesn't start until 12.30. As we turn to leave we are told we can sit and wait, that seemed reasonable. We then sit until 12.30 before even a glass of water is offered,perhaps a local law does not allow it!. The young girl who served us would benefit from some training, this could be done by the more mature woman,possibly the owner ,who was very good. The food was excellent ,we all really enjoyed what we had. We very nearly missed out due to the miserable welcome.

Excellent value for money. Homemade cooking, excellent Roman-style tripe, and delicious visciarelli. Everything was tasty and fresh. We had a great time.
