In our wanderings in search of different cuisines and "better" restaurants, we stumbled upon this restaurant advertised as the oldest in Italy, dating back to 1284. Out of curiosity, I'd like to know where the documentation is that places it so far back in time, but I believe it. The restaurant is old and ugly, but it doesn't matter if the food is up to par. The staff is okay, friendly, even too friendly, and without a dress code, and we overlook that too, always keeping the kitchen in mind. Now let's talk about the only reason people go to this restaurant: the food. The food is excellent: the gnocco fritto is not greasy and soft, excellent, the cured meats are good and fresh, the zucchini flowers are delicious, the elephant ear is delicious, the saffron risotto and osso buco are excellent, made on the spot—well done. And to finish, an exceptional peach sorbet. So, the food gets top marks.

A version of a Milanese trattoria, without the touch of "popularity" that would make it more authentic. The food is good, with a special mention for the saffron risotto, with a truly delicious ossobuco serving as the crowning glory. A trattoria for evenings spent with friends, fun and filling, as long as the table next door doesn't engage in a utterly uneducated shouting match, otherwise, between plates and glasses, you'll have to resort to smoke signals to communicate. A shame, because the strawberry sorbet is a great finale...

What can I say? Excellent food served in a pleasant, almost homely manner, in an atmosphere that could use a makeover. However, given the neighborhood in which it's located, you can't expect much, other than a steady stream of family members of Monzino Hospital patients and the doctors themselves. The prices are those of today's Milanese, but not excessive. It's a place worth returning to.

You shouldn't expect a trattoria, but rather a real restaurant. Excellent food quality... excellent presentation... reserved welcome. Price, not like a trattoria, but in line with the quality of the dishes.

I went there a bit by chance, I ate really good typical local dishes: risotto with fondue and walnuts, and caramelized pears, tagliolini with asparagus, and for the second course bacon with Barolo wine, Add the friendliness and hospitality of the owner... it's a historic place with 3 pianos.

Mi sono recato al Bagutto perché nelle vicinanze a pranzo. Locale tipico, cucina ottima sia tipica milanese che non. Presente menu pranzo lavoro e menu alla carta si può spendere dai 12 euro a Salire. Ottimo consigliato
