Every time we are in Viterbo it is a must. Superb first courses, very high quality meat which obviously justifies the prices. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

The place is pleasant, the food is good but exaggerates with the hazelnuts.... The pasta alla gricia would have been excellent but ruined by the hazelnuts! He only knew about those! It was an exaggeration to then cover the fillet with the hazelnut sauce which in my opinion had nothing to do with it.

Dinner with colleagues. We booked at this grill restaurant on the recommendation of another person, what can I say, a rustic place and a very welcoming environment. Friendly and polite service staff. I personally had a truly SPECTACULAR amatriciana, then we divided 1.5kg of steak just to taste some of that meat that passed in front of us between the kitchen and the dining room... perfect cooking, incredible softness and there really are no words to describe the goodness of what we ate. If I were to return to Viterbo the ancient tavern will be a place to visit again. Very recommended place

Ubicado en una calle angosta y algo escondida, Antica Taverna es un verdadero hallazgo para los amantes de la carne. Su especialidad en cortes nacionales e internacionales, sumado a precios accesibles, lo convierten en una opción ideal para quienes buscan comer bien y sin gastar demasiado. El ambiente combina elegancia e informalidad, con una decoración que rinde homenaje al fútbol local. La atención es cálida y eficiente, asegurando una experiencia agradable. Por unos 30 euros por persona sin alcohol, se disfruta de una comida abundante y de excelente calidad. Perfecto para quienes buscan sabores intensos sin pretensiones.

In 5 amici su consiglio di un collega abbiamo prenotato in questo ristorante, siamo stati accolti e seguiti dal personale in modo amichevole e gentile. 30/05/2025: I had dinner two nights with my wife at this restaurant, chosen for its proximity to our hotel and for the reviews. Our experience was very positive. Despite the distance from the sea we opted for fish-based menus both times. The quality of the dishes was fully satisfactory, the raw materials were generally very good and the cooking excellent. A note of merit for the staff, attentive but not intrusive, who guided us in our choices with advice that turned out to be absolutely spot on. The environment is well-kept and impeccably clean and tidy; the only slight flaw was, on the second evening, the close presence of a very noisy table, but customer education is certainly not the restaurant's responsibility. The price, around 40 euros per person, was certainly adequate for the courses we chose: by ordering something else you can spend less. Ultimately I definitely recommend it.
22/05/2025: We ate some excellent first courses, I particularly loved the scialatielli with clams and pachino tomatoes, the best fried anchovies I have ever eaten and the staff is super polite and available for suggestions. Excellent desserts
