During the cycling tour of Abruzzo, my wife and I passed through Navelli, an enchanting village that was very well renovated after the 2009 earthquake. We stopped for lunch at the Antica taverna. It offers typical Abruzzo food carefully prepared using local products and the famous Navelli saffron. I took advantage of the courtesy of the owners to also recharge the batteries of our bicycles. The house claret is also excellent. Advised

Consiglio tanto questo posto ai piedi del borgo di Navelli. Davvero buono! I piatti forti sono con lo zafferano ovviamente, ma non si resta delusi dal resto del menù. Posto semplice ma elegante. Cordialità da parte del personale. Nota di merito: finalmente qui vegetariani e vegani possono mangiare qualcosa di ottimo e anche locale!

The Antica taverna is the restaurant where local dishes are served: ceci, saffron, etc... it is located right on the outskirts of Navelli. Excellent, fresh and abundant dishes. Try the ones with saffron!!! Price quality - very honest. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had a good time and the value for money is excellent, good quantity of food.. the location is nice and welcoming. Located on the slopes of the beautiful Navelli, it is easy to reach and easy to leave your car there. I suggest the 5-course menu based on the famous local saffron.

Scoperta per caso perché non conoscevamo la zona, ed è stata una piu che gradita sorpresa. Piatti a base di zafferano, casarecci e raffinati allo stesso tempo. Servizio cordiale ed impeccabile. Sicuramente da mettere in agenda per un prossimo ritorno

I was thinking today, April 20th, Easter day, who knows how I'll eat.......instead I have to compliment everything...from the food, to the service and the place 🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝.....I recommend it... because if you eat well on big parties....you can imagine on normal days.....you're great, thank you 😘
16/03/2025: Excellent food, the owner of the restaurant was very friendly and we especially appreciated the wine selection, an informal environment with references to the rustic style which adapt perfectly to the Abruzzo location.
