Antica Riva In Vimercate

I came back here for lunch after years because the place I originally chose was closed. I didn't expect that at lunch there would only be a fixed menu, mea culpa, with quite limited choices (two first courses, two second courses, two "main" dishes, in any case one omnivorous and one vegetarian or vegan). We opt for a first course and a second course to share. The pasta was not exceptional, it sailed a little in its seasoning. The aubergine in carriage is good and original. We then order the mackerel because we are still hungry, discreet. The initial focaccia and the fried gnocco are good. We ordered a red from the (very limited) wine list on the third try as they no longer stock the first two choices. Definitely a cheap lunch but we were looking for something else, mindful of the past.

Restaurant with a very large outdoor space, with numerous tables under an awning and others scattered around the park. Very pleasant and spacious indoor environment too. Interesting dishes that mix local tradition with some experimentation. Very kind staff.

My wife and I go there every Tuesday at midday and we really enjoy it

Abbiamo pranzato in 5 domenica 4 agosto per il mio compleanno. Nel complesso un buon ristorante. Piatti ben presentati e buona qualità. Servizio un po’ lento ma personale gentile. Unica pecca…peró non da poco… si sono “dimenticati” di applicare lo sconto per la prenotazione con the Fork nonostante mi abbiano chiesto espressamente se avevo prenotato con the Fork e inoltre hanno sbagliato anche il conto di una portata. Proposta ho notato tutto quando sono arrivato a a casa. Peccato per questo scivolone!

Ristorante visto di passaggio, intrigante lo spazio esterno,purtroppo oggi il tempo non è stato favorevole .Servizio lento,cibo abbastanza ricercato, ma niente di eclatante, costo forse un po eccessivo. Da non ripetere .
