During a trip to Florence, everyone should experience freshly baked Florentine pastries from the historic pasticceria Sieni. They have their own pastry chefs and continue to create desserts the way the original family has for generations. It is a local favorite and is tucked away in the San Lorenzo neighborhood next to the outdoor and central markets. Andreina manages the place and is attentive and friendly. A Florentine friend and I visited the pasticceria, and I really enjoyed chatting with Andreina, trying the delicious pastries, and soaking in the “come era” nostalgia of a Florence landmark. It has the ambiance of a parlor for high tea and old Florence sophistication , yet a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

Il mio posto del "cuore" ci andavo da bambina con i miei nonni, adesso vado con i miei figli, gli anni passano ma tutto è sempre super perfetto. Il sorriso della titolare meraviglioso...è sempre bello tornare li. Tutto veramente molto buono. Mitica la sfoglia ai fichi

Los pasteles aquí eran maravillosos! Y tenían muy buen café americano, también! La repostería era casera - hecho y muy sabroso y el servicio era rápido. ¡Regresaría allí de nuevo!

18/03/2025: El lugar es muy bonito por dentro, la patatas super ricas al igual que una bruchetta pomodoro. Sin embargo, la pizza (un poco quemada por debajo) nos decepcionó y parecía que habían tirado los ingredientes por porciones y no en toda la pizza para disfrutar del sabor en su conjunto. Buena relación calidad/precio.
11/02/2025: To eat well and cheaply! Best pizza I ate in Florence. Not to mention the tagliatelle alla ragu which is also wonderful.
