Very good! Good food, good wine and good service.

We found ourselves passing through and, intrigued by the online menu, we booked this Saturday for lunch for me, my partner and our dog. Very nice wooden place facing the lake, small and cozy. Attentive and kind staff, the dishes were very pleasant. The potato and mushroom pie on gorgonzola cream, the risotto with pork ragout and venison are highly recommended. Definitely a place worth returning to when passing through Verbania.

La cena di S.Silvestro , all' Antica Osteria il Monterosso, si e' rivelata essere molto piacevole e rilassante. Il locale, che si integra benissimo tra le proposte del lungolago di Suna, si e' rivelato essere un esempio di amalgama sapientemente studiata tra tradizione ed innovazione . Il menu' e' semplice e raffinato, elegante nella presentazione. Rappresenta la giusta sintesi sapientemente rielaborata tra le specificita' del territorio e le proposte piu' innovative dello Chef. Sicuramente si distingue anche per la preparazione del personale di sala, che si esalta nella proposta del vino, plasmata in maniera sartoriale sulle scelte del cliente. Locale per occasioni speciali, da non dimenticare.

Pleasant dinner in a place of high quality, fast and professional service, excellent and wide selection of wines, also by the glass, which I appreciated very much. The dishes are very high quality and very good. The only note to improve on are the desserts in my opinion

11.'24 Over the last year I have been to this splendid restaurant several times, tasting many new dishes, some of which I have now added in the photo, always cooked with top quality products, of great culinary mastery and imagination. The fixed menu at midday, on weekdays and on Saturdays (not holidays), has increased by only 1 Euro, compared to the year '23...it is now 18€ x 1st + 2nd including side dish and dessert, excluding drinks and coffee...... and a further fixed menu of €14 has also been added, which excludes only the 1st or 2nd, always including dessert and maintaining the same characteristics (without drinking and coffee), for lunches only on weekdays and on non-holiday Saturdays. Congratulations to the owner Stefano, his wife and all the staff of young chefs and waiters, for what you manage to offer to us customers, with an always adequate price, the highest quality of products and service!! If you are in the area try it and you definitely won't regret it. 06.'23 I have returned other times in autumn and spring and now in summer, I always confirm the excellent quality from traditional to imaginative dishes, good wines and the professional and kind service of the 2 young waiters, with a small increase to €17 for the menu Fixed midday fee on weekdays, excluding drinks and coffee. I also added more photos of the new dishes tasted 😋 If you are in the area and you like good food in a clean, elegant but informal environment, I recommend it 😉👍 January '22 I have been coming to this Osteria facing Lake Suna for years, where good food combines with high culinary quality which is evident in every dish. I have added photos of the dishes tasted a few days ago for lunch, at the external tables during a rare and splendid event. sunny winter day, with 18°C. During midweek and Saturday lunches, a menu is offered for €16, with 1+2+dessert, water, wine and coffee not included, while for dinners and holidays, there is a menu with many pasta, rice, meat and fish dishes and with different prices. The service is performed by 2 young and kind waiters.

A truly pleasant experience from the welcome to the cuisine. They make you feel at home and there's no shortage of cuddles. Everything taken care of down to the smallest detail, we will definitely return.

Great food, excellent service. Just a clarification if traditional dishes are revisited with the addition of new ingredients or prepared in alternative ways, they cannot continue the traditional name.

Upscale. There were five of us there. The fish of the day was ok. Unfortunately a bit cold and the vegetables were unimaginative. All other dishes were first class. The service was impeccable.
