A real taste of Italia…with wines and individual plates from Fabriano… we loved it

We found ourselves eating by chance in the center of Fabriano after a pleasant visit to the historical wonders that are kept in the center of the city. The service was punctual, precise and not at all intrusive; the absolutely unforgettable food, including local specialties and top-level cuisine. Right and enjoyable portions, like the selection of wines and meats. It was truly a pleasure to stop and eat in this place and, if we return to Fabriano, it will be our first choice when it comes to restaurants. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this beautiful city.

Centrally located venue, easily reachable by car. You can sit both outside and inside, in a small, well-kept environment. Not a very extensive menu (especially for the first courses) but I assume they focus on cold cuts and cheeses so it can fit. The craft beers on tap and the quality of the products are excellent, but the portions are not generous given the prices. With the cutting boards they bring a small bag with bread and crescia: I would have preferred to have more and the crescia disappointed me a little (it didn't seem like the traditional one I was expecting and the fact that it was cut into cubes didn't help). However, I found the crostolo good (although I would have preferred more in this case too). Perhaps the term "osteria" meant that I entered this place with an idea (abundant artisanal and typical food) different from what was presented, influencing my overall negative evaluation, while if I think of a delicatessen I would recommend it .

It was the first time I ate in this place and I must say that I had a great time. I had a Danish cut and it was soft and delicious. Excellent service I promised myself I would return.

Mariani is a historic Fabriano establishment that in recent years has moved closer to the rustic cuisine typical of central Italy. I would say that the results are much more than acceptable. Informal environment and friendly owner, suitable for a moment of lightness and typical cuisine.
