Authentic Piemontese food in a traditional setting. The restaurant is across the river in an area not often visited by tourists. If you are looking for the foods the locals eat, this is the place for you. We visited with a friend who has been eating here regularly since he was a student at the university in the 1970’s and not much has changed.
We enjoyed house made pasta, the Grilled Lamb, and Pork with peaches. And all went well with a locale red wine, a Bonarda.

Truly a tavern that lives up to expectations. A quiet place, I would say elegant, where the service was impeccable and the dishes truly exquisite. We had the opportunity to taste the main dishes of the house so as to be able to appreciate their characteristics. A marvel for the palate, a dream that lasted for the entire dinner. We ended with a goosebump-inducing dessert. We can't wait to return.

Very nice tavern on the riverside in the heart of Pavia. We went on a Sunday for lunch, excellent wine, quality starters and simple but good first and second courses. Desserts a little disappointing but overall a good experience!

Vecchio locale con arredi e mobili in legno molto intriganti.Scelta menu contenuta, per me a garanzia di qualità. Un ottimo risotto con piselli e funghi, seguito da una fresca insalata mista, nel rispetto delle linee guida del mia dietologo.Un piacevole quartino di bianco in 4 per non tradire la dieta, tanta leggera acqua San Bernardo e un caffè. Soddisfatto e appagato.

Lunch during a group trip, so definitely not the best way to evaluate a restaurant. Appetizer of tasty cured meats, but without any cheese. Excellent asparagus risotto, followed after a long time by a curious cake with an impalpable consistency, tasty but extremely dry and not accompanied by any cream or vin santo that would make it edible. Sins of omission.
The low ceiling makes the room quite noisy if full.

All in all, it's a nice place to eat, but in my opinion it's too small.
I didn't like the fact that there were so many people in such a small space. Besides, I didn't really enjoy having to shout so that they could hear me from the other side of the table. Very noisy.

We went for a confirmation and I must say that I was delighted with the good food, wine, service, venue, location and staff. I only knew this tavern by name, but I will go back now that I've tried it👍
