We were wondering, what do you typically eat in Pavia? Here we found the answer, between goose cured meats, river fish and the magnificent Buttafuoco wine, we savored the typical flavors and local hospitality.
Helpful, smiling and prepared staff.

In osteria all’altezza di un ristorante. Rinunciato all’antipasto, ho iniziato con cappellacci ripieni di agnello e manzo brasati. Poi costolette di agnello alla brace con patate al forno. Tutto molto buono. A detta dei miei commensali: anche il loro antipasto, primi e secondo, soddisfacenti. Il tutto accompagnato da un buon bonarda vivace. Dolce, torta di mele alla cannella. Lo staff, molto cordiale e preparato. Tutto OTTIMO! Da ritornarci.

I wanted to share the unpleasant service experience my family and I went through during Christmas lunch.
We had already been there and returned having enjoyed it. Unfortunately this was not the case: beyond the price which was excessively high for the proposal, I would recommend changing the waiter with the pigtail and tattoos because he was truly rude and unprofessional towards us, almost as if he were annoyed at having guests at the restaurant.
I feel sorry for the owner because he, however, was much more courteous.
Surely, after this latest experience, we will think twice before returning.

The place is in a riverfront location, very characteristic. The starters were exquisite and so were the starters.
But in the end the waiter asked us to pay in cash, but you pay the taxes. Too bad you can't tag @finanza on Google review

Authentic Piemontese food in a traditional setting. The restaurant is across the river in an area not often visited by tourists. If you are looking for the foods the locals eat, this is the place for you. We visited with a friend who has been eating here regularly since he was a student at the university in the 1970’s and not much has changed.
We enjoyed house made pasta, the Grilled Lamb, and Pork with peaches. And all went well with a locale red wine, a Bonarda.
Great Food. Great Value. Traditional setting.
