We stopped for dinner at this restaurant during a trip. We trusted the reviews and we were right! The food is excellent, from the first course to the dessert everything was excellent. The restaurant could use a bit of renovation, but after the first bite everything else vanishes. I saw my little girls eating with enthusiasm and they are usually very critical about the food they eat in restaurants! Simple but not predictable flavors, definitely suitable for families. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is professional but light. Well done!

Excellent tavern in Pavia. Location directly on the river.
The location is beautiful, 2 rooms, one more characteristic with exposed beams and fireplace, the second a normal room in an old house.
Excellent dishes, from the appetizer with typical cold cuts and goose,
I took risotto and gnocchi with Zola (really excellent and cooked to perfection)
Second course was sturgeon and Irish meat, excellent cooking and truly finger-licking flavours.
Ps osso bucco with pure is the best.
Good service with waiters attentive to customers.
I will certainly return.

Locale storico sito sul lungo fiume, in Borgo Ticino che può ospitare i commensali in due piccole stanze attigue. Il menu’ comprende numerose proposte di piatti tipici della zona, alcune delle quali sono state modificate all’ultimo, previo assenso nostro, nella composizione degli ingredienti. Il risultato complessivo di può considerare soddisfacente. Servizio solerte, ma un po’ sbrigativo e corretto rapporto qualità/prezzo.

We took two tasting menus: average cold cuts starter, excellent first courses, second course a bit like this. The meat wasn't very tender and the potatoes were super dry. Good dessert.
The service needs to be improved although it is appreciable that a single waiter/head waiter managed all the diners as best he could and was always very kind. Dated but clean environment.
In short, we will return to taste the dishes that convinced us. And try some other Pavia specialties.

In osteria all’altezza di un ristorante. Rinunciato all’antipasto, ho iniziato con cappellacci ripieni di agnello e manzo brasati. Poi costolette di agnello alla brace con patate al forno. Tutto molto buono. A detta dei miei commensali: anche il loro antipasto, primi e secondo, soddisfacenti. Il tutto accompagnato da un buon bonarda vivace. Dolce, torta di mele alla cannella. Lo staff, molto cordiale e preparato. Tutto OTTIMO! Da ritornarci.
