Dinner at the beginning of August 2024. Unfortunately I hadn't attended for a few years. Superlative experience reconfirmed. Savored a lot of dishes from appetizers to dessert. From the colors of Seafood reduced in quantity over the years but always excellent, a truly spectacular and Catalan risotto. Drank super champagne from their gorgeous cellar. Elegant but young service. Lots of staff in the room, present but not intrusive. Compliments to the sommelier, a professional. Expertly orchestrated cuisine, dishes all balanced with each other. Ogni portata viene descritta dal personale in modo impeccabile e accompagnata da vini pregiati. Lo chef Lionello passa sempre ad assicurarsi che tutto sia di gradimento. I must first express my utmost apology to the chef and the restaurant for skipping the dessert session. We were experiencing extreme exhaustion caused by time difference last night. I would also like to explain for the missing one point. To start with, most of the dishes are kind of salty. Given that seafood and caviar are widely used, the use of salt should probably be reconsidered in the sauce. Another problem is the size of the dishes. When we were trying to admire the last main course “from the market”, we were already completely full. Reducing the size for each of the dish may be a solution, but arranging more refreshing dishes like Luca Salad may also help because it really helps to relieve the heavy flavor of other dishes. The last point may be subjective. One of our eater suspect the usage of MSG in the dishes. We are not against the use of MSG in daily cooking. But when it comes to Michelin starred restaurant, we hope the umami flavor comes from the natural ingredients. Overall speaking, this is a pretty impressive experience exploring the possibility of the taste from the sea.
