Once again, as always, excellence. Coming here means knowing you won't go wrong and, above all, you won't encounter any unpleasant surprises.
The location is easy to reach, quiet, and close to the Romea, the road connecting Venice to Chioggia. It's not a place you stumble upon by chance: you have to come here specifically, and that's the beauty of it. A sincere compliment to those who have created, and maintained over the years, a true culinary benchmark of the highest quality.
Inside, expertly diffused lighting and pleasant background music create a relaxing atmosphere. Finally, a quiet space where you can converse in peace. Tables and seats are well-spaced, separated by elegant peek-a-boo curtains that ensure the right amount of privacy. The mise en place is executed to perfection in every detail.
The young but extremely professional staff is always attentive and present without ever being intrusive. Nothing is left to chance.
The cuisine is a true emotional journey that engages all the senses. Let us guide you, advise you, and accompany you on this experience: it's truly worth it. The chef personally visits the tables to ensure everything is perfect, a gesture always greatly appreciated.
The quality, technique, and presentation of the dishes are top-notch, as is the wine cellar, capable of satisfying every request.
Come in and treat yourself to a couple of hours away from the world, even for a "simple" midweek lunch—so to speak—with their set menu.
The price may seem high, but it's a matter of perspective: for us, it's absolutely appropriate for the excellence of the experience offered.

A truly unique experience. Antica Osteria Cera is a place where cooking becomes art: every dish is meticulously crafted, using truly excellent quality ingredients. It's no coincidence that it's a Michelin-starred restaurant, a benchmark for seafood cuisine.
The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, making you feel at ease while experiencing something special. The service is impeccable, attentive, and professional, without ever being intrusive.
It's the kind of experience that goes beyond simple dinner: it's a journey through flavors, aromas, and the chef's creativity. A place to return to at least once in your life.

Lunch for two at Antica Osteria da Cera with a weekly menu (3 courses for €80).
All the dishes were top-notch, with the cold spaghettini making the meal worthwhile alone: precise, intense, and clean.
The mezzo pacchero alla Daniele was also excellent, made even more enjoyable by the option of mopping up the bread in the pan, served with truly excellent bread.
Special mention for the attentiveness: I mentioned my partner's birthday, and they served the dessert with a candle and a small table setting, elegant and unobtrusive.
Realistic and refined seafood cuisine. A thoroughly successful experience that I recommend without hesitation.

A refined restaurant, perhaps the most celebrated among seafood lovers.
Respect for the raw materials is the Cera family's philosophy. Chef Lionello has realized his dream of two Michelin stars.
Interpretations of gastronomic tradition, complex reinterpretations resulting from a careful study of flavors, aromas, and colors.
Tasting menu, à la carte dishes. My favorite? The Colors of the Sea.
Thanks to sommelier Niccolò for the wine pairings, to the attentive dining room staff, and to Sara, who created a delicious millefeuille for my birthday.

It is genuinely inexplicable to us how this restaurant holds 2 Michelin stars.
The space itself is modern and well designed, clearly popular with locals, and surrounded by expensive cars—expectations were high. Unfortunately, the food did not come close to meeting them.
The service felt rushed from start to finish. The entire meal lasted about 2.5 hours, when a 2-star tasting menu should unfold over at least 3 hours. Several dishes suffered from basic execution issues:
• Three dishes were noticeably too salty
• Multiple cold dishes were served on hot plates
• Temperature control throughout was inconsistent
Most importantly, not a single dish was remarkable. None. That is unheard of at this level.
To put this in context:
• A 2-star restaurant like La Peca delivered six memorable dishes.
• Venissa (1 star) delivered four.
• Seafood restaurants we deeply admire—Pepe Vieira, Gueyu Mar, Elkano, Campero—some without stars, deliver far superior flavor and product.
• Other 2-star references such as The Smoked Room (Madrid), Coquillage, Anne de Bretagne, and Christophe Hay are consistently excellent.
Here, you see good ingredients, attractive sauces, and beautiful presentation—but the taste simply does not match the visuals or the reputation. Expectations shaped by extensive dining across Europe and Asia were repeatedly unmet.
Core issues:
• Temperature control
• Salt imbalance (too much or too little)
• Lack of depth, umami, and creativity
• Rushed pacing
The wine selection was good, though not a precise pairing—still, it was one of the better aspects of the experience.
Overall, this was a deeply disappointing meal and entirely inconsistent with what one expects from a restaurant holding two Michelin stars.

Far from the traditional osteria concept, Antica Osteria Cera offers an elegant, modern, and minimalist atmosphere where you can enjoy top-quality seafood impeccably prepared by Chef Lionello Cera. The lunch tasting menu, Monday through Friday, offers excellent value for a two-Michelin-star restaurant and consists of three dishes, each with a choice of two options. The wine list is interesting. The service is prompt, professional, and friendly, worthy of its two Michelin stars. Worth a visit.

A superior experience. My favorite among the Michelin-starred restaurants I've tried so far. Excellent quality, incredibly fresh fish, and revisited traditional dishes. The atmosphere is intimate, elegant, and quiet. A true oasis. The wine list boasts some of the best labels around. I highly recommend it.
