An experience that goes beyond dinner.
Returning to Antica Osteria da Cera was much more than sitting in a two-Michelin-star restaurant for me: it was returning to a place where cuisine, memory, sea, and vision meet with a rare ease.
I ate divinely. Each dish spoke of a cuisine crafted with absolute precision, yet never cold: supreme technique, extraordinary ingredients, elegance, depth, and a marine sensibility that only comes from those who truly know fish, respect it, and know how to transform it without betraying it.
From pasta to fish, from shellfish to bread, from the dining room details to the most essential small steps, everything communicates one thing: here, we don't seek effect, we seek the truth of flavor.
For me, it was also a special evening on a personal level: I chanced upon a loved one whom I hadn't seen in 10 years, and I had the pleasure of reuniting with Chef Lionello Cera, with whom I had the honor of collaborating in the past. Rediscovering that human, as well as professional, quality made the experience even more intense.
Antica Osteria da Cera is one of those places where you understand that great Italian dining isn't just about cooking: it's about family, territory, discipline, identity, and continuity.

Excellent service and atmosphere. We went during the week and it was relatively quiet. The dishes are nothing to complain about, good quality and refined flavors. As a dessert lover, I have to say they leave a little to be desired.

Once again, as always, excellence. Coming here means knowing you won't go wrong and, above all, you won't encounter any unpleasant surprises.
The location is easy to reach, quiet, and close to the Romea, the road connecting Venice to Chioggia. It's not a place you stumble upon by chance: you have to come here specifically, and that's the beauty of it. A sincere compliment to those who have created, and maintained over the years, a true culinary benchmark of the highest quality.
Inside, expertly diffused lighting and pleasant background music create a relaxing atmosphere. Finally, a quiet space where you can converse in peace. Tables and seats are well-spaced, separated by elegant peek-a-boo curtains that ensure the right amount of privacy. The mise en place is executed to perfection in every detail.
The young but extremely professional staff is always attentive and present without ever being intrusive. Nothing is left to chance.
The cuisine is a true emotional journey that engages all the senses. Let us guide you, advise you, and accompany you on this experience: it's truly worth it. The chef personally visits the tables to ensure everything is perfect, a gesture always greatly appreciated.
The quality, technique, and presentation of the dishes are top-notch, as is the wine cellar, capable of satisfying every request.
Come in and treat yourself to a couple of hours away from the world, even for a "simple" midweek lunch—so to speak—with their set menu.
The price may seem high, but it's a matter of perspective: for us, it's absolutely appropriate for the excellence of the experience offered.

Lunch for two at Antica Osteria da Cera with a weekly menu (3 courses for €80).
All the dishes were top-notch, with the cold spaghettini making the meal worthwhile alone: precise, intense, and clean.
The mezzo pacchero alla Daniele was also excellent, made even more enjoyable by the option of mopping up the bread in the pan, served with truly excellent bread.
Special mention for the attentiveness: I mentioned my partner's birthday, and they served the dessert with a candle and a small table setting, elegant and unobtrusive.
Realistic and refined seafood cuisine. A thoroughly successful experience that I recommend without hesitation.

Respect for the raw materials is the Cera family's philosophy. Chef Lionello has realized his dream of two Michelin stars.
Interpretations of gastronomic tradition, complex reinterpretations resulting from a careful study of flavors, aromas, and colors.
Tasting menu, à la carte dishes. My favorite? The Colors of the Sea.
Thanks to sommelier Niccolò for the wine pairings, to the attentive dining room staff, and to Sara, who created a delicious millefeuille for my birthday.

The restaurant is simply sublime. A truly incredible culinary experience, with top-quality ingredients showcased perfectly. The flavors are unforgettable, from the entrees to the desserts. The service was also truly impeccable. I can't wait to return.
