Fermati per un pranzo veloce in una occasione particolare e in un locale a noi sconosciuto. Invece piacevolissima sorpresa, titolare preparatissimo gentile e professionale oltre che simpatico (e ciò non guasta!) Cibo ottimo e ben servito. Definitely in the top 10 of the best cuisines in FVG. "Great hand" from the Chef who knows his job well. Balanced, tasty, balanced dishes, not only to be seen but even more to be tasted. Precise, punctual, informal room service that puts you at ease. Beautiful cellar with excellent value for money. Definitely recommended!

The pleasure of discovering places that combine tradition and quality is what makes each experience unique. Here's how it went this time...
During our recent visit to Antica Osteria al Ponte in San Daniele, we had an experience that exceeded expectations. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, with its traditional Friulian style furnishings, immediately put us at ease. This is the type of restaurant that combines the charm of tradition with attentive and professional service, which knows how to be present without ever being intrusive.
We started with a mixture of cheeses accompanied by an exceptional mustard and a velvety pumpkin and prawn cream. Each dish was prepared with great care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients, typical of Friulian cuisine.
For the first courses, we chose pumpkin gnocchi and tagliolini with San Daniele, dishes that reflect the tradition of the area and which surprised us with their richness of flavor. The fogolâr, used to cook meat and vegetables, is one of the distinctive elements of the restaurant, which keeps the authentic flavors alive by cooking on beech embers. Our second courses, a very tender fillet and a grilled octopus, once again demonstrated the attention to detail and perfection of cooking.
We accompanied everything with a memorable classic method, perfect for enhancing the flavors of the dishes. To conclude the evening, one of the best tiramisu I have ever tasted, my favorite dessert, made unique by the use of Raveo Ss.
The familiar and relaxed environment of the tavern, together with the possibility of dining outdoors in the garden during the summer, made the whole experience pleasant and unforgettable.
A place that will become one of my favourites, with the hope that it continues to improve and amaze.
