Antica Osteria In Pragelato

On Sunday evening my partner took me to Roberto's tavern, the place he calls home, his favorite place which is now mine too. He opens only by reservation, there is no menu but you eat what he chooses from time to time for his guests, needless to say that it was all delicious... background music, excellent selection of wines and all this in front of his fireplace. This splendid place fully reflects Roberto, whom I thank so much, but above all we can't wait to bring some dear friends.

Unique place……. for many but not for all... Elegance and great charm thanks to the wise management of the legendary Roberto who, after a few years, took over this legendary place to make it shine like in the old days. High quality food, right music and fireplace... that's all you need for a wonderful evening at Plan... and sometimes there's dancing on the tables 😜

Walking through Plan, we came across this very charming inn, which the innkeeper Roberto calls home. He welcomed us with a special candlelit atmosphere, on comfortable white sofas, with a crackling fireplace that pleasantly warmed the house and a playlist of music selected by him, which accompanied an exquisite dinner, with simple but high quality dishes . It was very pleasant chatting with Roberto, sharing anecdotes and memories from the past. Roberto is very hospitable and experienced in advising and serving. He knows how to convey all his passion and love for what he does. Unfortunately we discovered it when we were close to leaving so, within 4 days, we returned a second time with other relatives to try the experience and they were enthusiastic about it. The place also welcomes after dinner and I recommend tasting Roberto's Barbera and Genepy proposal! We can't wait to try it this winter in the snow.

I passed by chance, after dinner, in front of this place with a somewhat mysterious and reserved air. I was welcomed by Roberto, with his non-conformist spirit and the friendliness of a long-time friend. This place is one of those very rare places where you know when you enter, but you don't know when you'll go home, because you already feel at home. Roberto accompanied the glass of wine and the genepy with some excellent biscuits. The atmosphere is magical, the lighting is candle-only, the fireplace crackles and radiates heat. That warmth that you can already feel just by chatting with Roberto, about his memories in this place, which he lovingly calls home. I recommend dropping by. Both the genepy and the Barbera wine are notable. Surely if I have the opportunity, I will also try his cuisine. A pleasant discovery!

During an evening walk, I came across a small place that seemed almost hidden, with a discreet charm and a reserved air. I entered driven by curiosity, and I found Roberto welcoming me, a person with a genuine and friendly character, who immediately puts you at ease. From the first moments, I perceived that this is not just any place, but a special corner where you come to relax and leave the frenzy of the day behind. Roberto, with a knowing smile, advised us to try the house genepy and a Barbera wine which turned out to be an excellent choice. The evening turned into a moment of true relaxation, thanks also to the unique atmosphere: candles that create soft lighting and a fireplace that warms not only the environment but also the spirit. I ended up chatting with Roberto, who shared stories and anecdotes related to this place, treating it as something more than just a job. If you pass by here, I recommend you stop. The wine selection is excellent, and the genepy is definitely worth a taste. My next visit will definitely be dedicated to exploring the cuisine as well. An encounter that pleasantly surprised me and that I will remember with pleasure.

We were at the Osteria last night, a magnificent evening, excellent food and wine, pampered by the innkeeper Roberto. You couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be back.
