We went to eat at this restaurant with my family for Easter lunch after various research on restaurants in the area. Indeed, all expectations were met. Exceptional food, very tasty, typical dishes as per the Friulian tradition. Very nice place close to one of the most beautiful squares in Udine inside an ancient building. Service much appreciated, friendly staff very helpful. We will definitely be back

Ristorante davvero buono, a due passi dal centro. Fate attenzione alla ZTL, non ben segnalata. Bisogna parcheggiare fuori. Servono un pre antipasto fatto di due salse e pane croccante, molto buono. Primi buoni ed abbondanti. Buona carta di vini. Buono il dolce Gubana. Prezzi onesti rispetto a quelli praticati a Roma. Consigliatissimo

Nel nostro soggiorno a Udine sono andata due volte a cena cosa che ormai ripeto da qualche anno, sempre molto attenti al cliente, ottimo cibo e personale cordiale. A prestissimo!

28/05/2025: We had lunch at the restaurant on the occasion of a family ceremony. The food was very good and the service was efficient and fast, the place was a bit small and undersized compared to the amount of seats set up.
22/04/2025: Recensione Ristorante "Al Dolcenero" – San Daniele del Friuli. Se passate da San Daniele del Friuli e cercate un posto dove mangiare bene senza spendere una follia, "Al Dolcenero" è una tappa obbligata. L’ambiente è accogliente e curato, perfetto sia per un pranzo veloce che per una cena rilassata. Uno dei punti forti sono sicuramente i primi piatti a 10 euro: porzioni generose, ingredienti di qualità e una preparazione che rispetta la tradizione friulana. Un rapporto qualità-prezzo davvero difficile da battere in zona. Ma il vero colpo di scena arriva già con l’antipasto: crudo Camarin stagionato 36 mesi, affettato al momento, profumatissimo e dal gusto pieno e rotondo. Nel complesso, un’esperienza più che positiva. Ottimo cibo, prezzi giusti e un servizio gentile. Consigliato.

16/05/2025: The food was good, not exceptional. The service was polite but a bit long. The atmosphere was very noisy, so much so that I struggled to converse with my friends.
07/05/2025: 8 people went to eat on May 1, 2025: we arrive and we already find red wine, white wine, sparkling water and still water on the table. When they were about to finish they refilled immediately, without even asking. Excellent and abundant dishes, as in the best Friulian tradition. At the end of the meal, they took us out and offered us practically ALL the bitters/grappas/digestives available. We ate 3 dishes each, spending 45 euros per person. FABULOUS.
