Here, you enter the walls of an absolutely spectacular 500 year old environment, where you will find an old 120 year old wooden counter, a 200 year old coffee machine, each room with huge fireplaces that you can enter standing up. The staff were very kind, traditional dishes executed very well, a wide choice of courses and desserts. What can I say about the excellent price, I'll just say that for lunch I paid the same to simply eat pasta with clams, here two elaborate courses of wine and coffee. Tortelli with duck and truffle filling and a roast with side dish for the second course. The owner who smokes at the counter releases that tobacco scent into the room (I'm not a smoker) and its charm amidst all that ancient wood and century-old paintings. Absolutely coming back. These are the truly beautiful things about our Italy, not those places where they sell you rubbish because they are so touristy and they make money anyway. Well done.

Nice to have lunch among the trees next to the Mincio on a sunny day
We ate outdoors on the Mincio bank. Really nice but the chairs were dirty with bird feces and I had to look for a clean chair on my own. I ordered a trio of ravioli. The fillings were good but they had probably been cooked several hours ago and the pastry had become translucent in several places. The second cut was without infamy and without praise. Cooked just right but the meat is nervous and has little flavour. With a quarter of wine, water and a coffee 43 euros. Too.

Super tortelli, must try duck and truffle excellent combination 👍 polenta and salami a little poor tiramisu good fantastic peaches in syrup excellent service I'll start by saying we were two tables (Friday lunch in winter therefore low season)

Today we were guests for lunch in this restaurant, a very nice outdoor place on the banks of the Mincio, we were welcomed kindly by the owner, excellent food with a lot of variety of choice of both fish and meat, very good homemade desserts, excellent service and fast, highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Thanks to Mrs. Zora.

Visita al Borghetto stupendo e poi pranzo all'Antica Locanda Mincio, ci hanno accolti con cortesia (non finta ) sale da pranzo bellissime (sembra di pranzare in un castello) camerieri veloci e sul pezzo, ci hanno fatto accomodare in una saletta che non aveva nulla da invidiare alla principale, abbiamo preso bigoli con le sarde e tortelli di Valeggio, trota salmonata alla brace e costata di manzo alla brace, tutto perfetto.
Al momento del conto abbiamo conosciuto la titolare persona squisita che quando le ho detto che avrei mangiato volentieri il luccio con la polenta integrale ma al nostro arrivo non era ancora pronto si è precipitata in cucina e ci ha offerto una porzione da portare a casa.
Che dire noi ci torneremo sicuramente e se siete indecisi su dove mangiare quando visitate Borghetto, l'Antica Locanda Mincio non vi deluderà.

Il luogo è fantastico e ricco di storia e di arte, con dipinti meravigliosi del pittore veronese Federico Bellomi che raccontano il mito di Margherita ispirato al Faust di Goethe e al "Maestro e Margherita" di Bulgakov sulla parete di sinistra, e la storia del fiume Mincio, con riferimenti alla quinta ecloga di Virgilio, all'incontro di papa Leone Magno con Attila e all'età Viscontea, sull'altra parete. L'atmosfera è calda e accogliente, le persone gentili, il cibo ottimo. Mentre mangiavo con piacere ammiravo la bellezza dell'ambiente che mi circondava. Un'esperienza unica e rara. Da ripetere e da far conoscere.
