Antica Locanda El Grio In Cazzano di tramigna

We went here for an anniversary meal, and whilst we were the only people there on a quiet Monday night, our experience was perfect. We had the chef’s menu- loved the surprise element of it (with some ingredients we didn’t guess). Accompanying wines were fantastic (and all local), and the service was friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Very memorable and would highly recommend!

On our first night in Italy, we dined here and were warmly welcomed by the friendly and hospitable staff. The food was absolutely delicious! We opted for the Chef's degustation menu, which added an element of surprise since we only discovered each dish after finishing it. To enhance the experience, we allowed the staff to select wines that perfectly complemented our meal. Overall, the experience was superb, and I highly recommend this place.

Abbiamo trovato un tavolo all'ultimo minuto, per il pranzo di Pasqua. Ed è stato un colpo di fortuna. Il locale è ben arredato, ha una sala di giuste dimensioni e questo, unito all'accoglienza amichevole del proprietario, permette di sentirsi in famiglia. Il menu del pranzo era molto ben bilanciato, piatti delle giuste quantità, e di ottima qualità, complimenti allo chef, davvero. Ottimi i vini che hanno scelto per accompagnarlo, ottimo anche il caffè (sì, è un dettaglio, ma è sempre più raro trovare ristoranti che lo sappiano fare bene!). Pranzo ottimo, prezzo giusto (altra rarità), personale accogliente e amichevole che ha creato una bella atmosfera, e ha lasciato un bel ricordo, spero di ritornarci. Bravi!

…here we are again and finally here at the EL GRIO inn… After the Christmas lunch... we did an encore with the Easter one... and look, the success was repeated. As always welcomed by the family and an amazing menu... wine pairing always at the top and description of the same always extremely exhaustive but above all fascinating... food as already mentioned first rate... Once again, a sincere thank you for your professionalism but above all for your wonderful frankness, conviviality and hospitality... at the first opportunity we will travel over 400 km for the 3rd time to come and visit you and be pampered by you. Known by chance, we chose to make the blind menu with 6 courses decided by the chef with truly particular and fabulous dishes, also with the pairing of local wines. Very kind service, we immediately felt welcomed and at ease. The two brothers who run the inn are two really nice and kind people and this makes everything more special. Excellent value for money! I recommend anyone to stop and eat at least once! We will try to return despite the 200 km! Keep it up because you are amazing!

Went with friends for lunch...discovered the place somewhat by chance...just renovated and run by two young brothers...nice range of dishes, both in terms of pairings and presentation...some very good, others that could be improved. However they deserve trust.
