What a wonderful experience here! Friendly staff and helpful in choosing your meal. Very affordable too! The house white wine is homemade, as is the olive oil!

A place with a culinary history dating back to the 1300s, cute and tasteful, traditional Tuscan dishes, the spaghetti with bacon and pecorino are super good, not to mention the very tender meat cooked in a wood-fired oven, top fried mushrooms, in short, a culinary experience to try 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Unfortunately, there were some ups and downs. While most of the dishes we chose were very good, the "lemon pasta" spoiled our evening somewhat. It was served with just butter, and after complaining, they added a little lemon sauce, but we still expected more for €14. However, the fillet steak and tortellini, for example, were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was friendly; no complaints here.

Antica Locanda di Sesto serves an amazing Fiorentina steak – truly one of the best I’ve had in Italy. Tip: ask for a cut that includes the fillet, as it’s often sold separately these days. The antipasto and pasta dishes are also excellent and definitely worth trying.

A parte l'ambiente decisamente vintage, con perlinato alle pareti e la pietra nera dal passare del tempo, la cucina è di buon livello. Avrebbe bisogno di una buona "rinfrescata" agli ambienti che ogni volta che andiamo, sembrano sempre più tetri!

Locanda caratteristica ad una decina di km da Lucca. Piatti tipici della cucina lucchese e toscana davvero molto buoni...direi ottimi. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Prezzo nella norma.

02/09/2025: We went there at the end of our stay in the region, and we received a warm and friendly welcome (I only speak a few words of Italian, and no better in English). And I must say that we regretted not having gone there sooner, because that would have allowed us to return. The ravioli with ragu as a starter and the sliced ​​beef with Parmesan on top were a real treat. And the wine, even in a bottle, was pleasant to drink. If we're in the area again, I'll definitely go back. Thank you for this great time. Pasquale
