Very nice, but above all, the quality is extremely high. Excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable. Another worthy aspect is the decision to stay closed on Sundays, as it was when society was doing much better.

The best meal during our few days in Lucca’a area. Traditional dishes, well executed, the freshest ingredients and a very nice atmosphere and service.

I can only describe it in superlatives. Warm, family-like atmosphere, perfect service and food prepared with the care of a loving grandmother.

This was our best meal during our week in Tuscany - exceptional food, excellent value for money for the quality, we found it via the Michelin guide but it feels a step above the usual non-starred entries, with touches such as mixing their carbonara in a wheel of cheese at the table. Also a very good and reasonable wine list - we had a lovely bottle for €22.

The Antica Locanda di Sesto is an excellent restaurant in Sesto di Moriano, near Lucca. Besides the standard fare, they also offer a variety of local dishes, such as Rovelle Lucchesi. The house wine and olive oil come from Fattoria Maolina (0 km away!), and they are simply excellent.
The service is friendly, fast, and attentive. The prices are moderate. We ate here on the recommendation of friends, and we weren't disappointed—quite the opposite. A great place.

A parte l'ambiente decisamente vintage, con perlinato alle pareti e la pietra nera dal passare del tempo, la cucina è di buon livello. Avrebbe bisogno di una buona "rinfrescata" agli ambienti che ogni volta che andiamo, sembrano sempre più tetri!
