Antica Latteria is a gem from another era. Recommended by friends from Perugia, I absolutely confirm the quality of the whipped cream, light and just the right amount of sweet (so not too much), and of the other products we tried. A real must is the maritozzo, perfectly leavened and expertly filled with the legendary cream. I give everything 5 stars for specific reasons: the food is high-quality and delicious, the service is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is certainly not modern, but it has that old-fashioned feel that we've learned not to dismiss as dated but rather appreciate as original and an expression of a period that's now back in fashion. A sincere place, I'd say, where the personality of Mr. Umberto stands out, "85 years old and 70 behind the counter, madam," kind, smiling, friendly, a delight of a man, like his whipped cream. A must-visit in Perugia for breakfast and a sweet break.

We came here drawn by the reviews. We ordered a hot chocolate and a croissant with cream. The hot chocolate was good, although I expected it to be creamier. The cream was good, but too sweet for my taste.
