Antica farmacia In Palaia

A tiny restaurant in the small town of Palaia. A lovely greeting before being seated for dinner. The food was to a very high standard. Tuscany Pork meat starter, followed by a beautiful Tagliolini with ragu. A tasty wine list. This is a must visit restaurant.

Siamo tornati dopo due settimane coinvolgendo una coppia di amici, anche loro amanti della buona tavola, magnificando la prima esperienza. Per come è andata ieri sera temo che abbiamo perso di credibilità anche se non hanno infierito. Forse non era presente lo chef che avevamo visto, a fine cena, fare il giro dei tavoli conversando.. certamente la rumorosissima congrega di un tavolo non invitava alla meditazione ma i piatti, direi gli stessi, erano ieri ben diversi…insapori, sciali e si salvano solo i ravioli. Mah, probabilmente il giusto è nella media delle due serate…ma la stella, cui c’ero si ambisce, ieri era fievole fievole.

Excellent food, entree, 2 starters, 1 first course and I 1 second course, 2 desserts and a glass of wine, 138 euros! All delicious but calling it dinner seems excessive to me, let's say an excellent aperitif a little expensive, it was enough to have a fillet on the menu or on the plate with the fois gras for 32 euros that I took, put a few more bites, instead of 3 bites in number, then one to finish, a ball that sweeps away any good flavor, filling your mouth with only lemon! However, the quality is as excellent as the taste, an excellent aperitif!

Amazing restaurant! We found this hidden gem just by luck, as we were staying in a hotel up the road. We were amazed by the Michelin-quality food for very reasonable prices. The service was incredible, with little anecdotes about the ideas and inspirations behind the food. The food itself was delicious and authentically italian with some dishes that challenged our norms. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of starters and small desserts that came gratis with the meal. Delicious! We would happily come again many times!

Traditional and welcoming, warm and familiar, in accordance with the Tuscan tradition. Tasty food and beverages, well packaged and generous in portions.

One of the best meals of my life. Great service. Everything was very delicious. The bone marrow was in the top ten of things I’ve eaten in my life. The desserts were incredible. This is worth a journey if you are within an hour and a half. We ate with a group of five and were delighted throughout the experience. Highly recommend
