Antica Casa Rava In Alessandria

Siamo stati a mangiare all'antica casa Rava domenica scorsa. Intanto l'accoglienza gentile e premurosa della signora, la cuoca, ci ha piacevolmente colpito. Io ho optato per un menù con 4 scelte; mio marito ha preferito scegliere 2 piatti singoli... La cucina è ottima, gustosa, leggera ma soprattutto sana. Siamo abituati a mangiare vegano, pur non essendo lo, per motivi soprattutto di salute e questa gastronomia non ci ha affatto deluso. Ottimi anche il calice di Barbera che ha accompagnato i nostri piatti e il Tiramisù, per concludere degnamente il pasto. Certamente ritorneremo quando nuovamente saremo in Piemonte, in zona di Alessandria, per una gita o piccola vacanza.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Antica Casa Rava and, although I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and some specific aspects, the overall experience left me with some doubts. I'll start by underlining the great care and attention of the boy who served us: a real strong point of the place, always available but never intrusive. We opted to taste two of their most representative dishes, the "Carborava" and the "Caciorava". I must admit that, despite being interesting vegan reinterpretations, the portions were rather small considering the price of €15.00 per dish. The sauces, while pleasant, didn't particularly excite me. As a second course, the braised soybean was undoubtedly well done, with a truly perfect consistency. However, I found the lack of a vegetable side dish a bit limiting, especially in relation to the portion size. An honorable mention goes to the desserts: the tiramisu and their interpretation of their grandfather's cup were both exquisite and represented the most pleasant moment of the meal. We ended with a coffee and two limoncellos. Regarding the latter, I noticed that they were served at room temperature. While respecting this choice, I would have liked to have been informed in advance, as a drink like limoncello, in my personal taste, is better if served cold. The ambience of the restaurant is certainly particular, with a style that recalls an old butcher's shop from the 1950s. Honestly, I didn't fully grasp the connection with the restaurant's vegan proposal, but I recognize the originality of the choice. The location, slightly outside the centre, could be a factor to consider. In summary, I found the staff very friendly and the food overall average, with peaks of excellence for the desserts. I wouldn't define the quality-price ratio as cheap. At the moment, I don't think I will return, except perhaps to enjoy the excellent desserts again.

First experience in a vegan restaurant, dishes presented very well, quality raw materials, but in my opinion not comparable to a traditional meal. Very welcoming place, friendly and courteous staff. My wife had met him on the web. We have been approaching vegan eating for a year and a half. The counter with all the specialties is very cool, well stocked and gives the idea of ​​what you expect. We ate really well. We will be back

Locale molto carino e le ragazze davvero gentili. Abbiamo fatto 2 menu degustazione così da poter assaggiare più cose… Qualità e passione si ritrovano nei piatti per non parlare dei dolci Tiramisù voto 10!!!
