Antica Bottega del Vino In Verona

We made a reservation weeks in advance. My husband and I were looking forward to eating here. I don't know if it was a bad day for the restaurant or just one of those off days but the service was lacking. We felt rushed and forgotten at the same time, almost unwelcomed. I kept asking the waiter from the table next to us, for more wine and the dessert menu. He was nice but I could tell he also got annoyed with our waiter and he would send our waiter when our cups and plates were empty because we were just waiting there. The gentleman sitting next to us had to get up from his table to get our waiter, which was also his waiter. Very odd day. The food was good and so was the wine that was suggested for us. But that was eclipsed by the service.

Huge wine list. Quick service, but they also cleared the table quickly before we were even halfway finished.

Good selection of Italian wines

A quaint little shop where you can treat yourself. The sandwiches are fantastic, and so is the wine! The waitresses could be more enthusiastic, but it was still early, so they're forgiven! I'll be back!

Absolutely amazing dinner. We had wonderful meat that previous reviews here said was raw or tough: none of it. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and wonderful. We had a 2009 bottle of amarone recommended by the very friendly sommelier. Very recommendable. The only downside were the loud and obnoxious Americans next to us, but that's nothing the restaurant can change :D we came for the wine and they more than delivered. An absolute experience with a wine bible that will blow your mind.

One of the best meals we had in the Veneto region. Cosy atmosphere, great food, excellent service. It is a very busy place at night, reservations , a few days ahead, are highly recommended.

Cibo della tradizione di qualità eccellente, ampia selezione nella carta dei vini (sarebbe meglio definirla “Bibbia”), personale cordiale. Una coccola che non deve mai mancare nei miei soggiorni a Verona!
