A realy cool place in the heart of Verona, where one can pop in just for a glass of prosecco of spend an hour while tasting wine and munching on delicious tapas and Toscan prosciutto or salami sandwiches... the best quality offered for guests. The crew is friendly and helpful to offer you suggestions for tasting in case one does not necessarily know all the regional wines, which are plenty indeed. The place is decorated as if there were always festivities, what makes your visit a distinguished event to remember.

Oggi a pranzo sono stata in centro e ho avuto il piacere di mangiare all’Antica Bottega del Vino… che dire? Un’esperienza davvero speciale. Il frittino di calamarini è una bomba: croccante, leggero, saporito… uno di quei piatti che ti fanno iniziare il pranzo col sorriso. Ma tutti i piatti che abbiamo assaggiato erano davvero di altissimo livello, curati nei dettagli e pieni di gusto. Un plauso speciale al sommelier, una presenza discreta ma preziosa: calmo, gentile e preparatissimo. Ha saputo consigliarci con passione e grande professionalità. Locale storico, atmosfera accogliente e cucina da ricordare. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

I was really excited to try this restaurant but it was a bit disappointing. While the service was good, it wasn’t particularly friendly. We felt like we were on a conveyer belt. The dishes are obviously designed to be as efficient as possible. I had the anchovy starter and it was literally a tin of anchovies with a dish of buratta. My daughter’s dessert of tarte tatin was on a disc of pastry rather than being cooked in the pastry. All very efficient. We were seated in a back room which lacked atmosphere. Overall we all felt we’d had much better meals and service elsewhere on our holiday in Italy that had cost a fraction of the price.
